You used three methods of analysis to find the acceleration of the cart on the track: a two-point difference from v(t), an average of a(t) that was itself calculated by a succession of first differences of the v(t) data, and a line fit to v(t). some criteria to help you consider which method is best are part a in which type of graph(s) is it easiest to see whether the acceleration was constant?

Answered by answersmine AT 22/10/2019 – 02:29 AM

The best way to find that you want is the line fit. When acceleration is constant the speed(v) changes smoothly every moment, so the v line must be straight. Differently, the accelaration changes.

70 POINTS!!! PLEASE HELP!!!WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!!!!!!!!!While it is no doubt true that literary analysis is an effective way of understanding a literary work in depth, it can be argued that analyzing a text takes away the enjoyment of reading it. Which mode of reading do you prefer, reading for pleasure without any effort at analysis or analyzing as you read? Or do you prefer some other combination of reading strategies? Explain your preference.

I prefer reading for pleasure without any effort at analysis. Reading a passage once and looking up words in a dictionary will be a way to know new words and understand the text of the passage more.

Having a literacy device sheet in hand is important to comprehend if the text passage is a metaphor, simile, hyperbole etc and that help understand complex literacy language in poetry, Shakespearean language, and in eulogy themes.

Hope this helps.

Since a tiny tender child of four,
There’s nothing that I dreamt of more,
Than to jump aboard a great big ship,
A telescope, a map, a sword, by my hip,
To feel the sea breeze in my hair,
To stroke my parrot on the wood chair,
To be bold and brave and happy as can be,
To trek and travel and sail the seven seas.

8 lines. Rhyme scheme aabbccdd. If I managed to write that in about 4 minutes, you could write something much better and longer in like 30 minutes. You can use my rubbish poem as inspiration lol. Good luck X

Stacey is writing a literary analysis essay on a play. What approach should she take to write a strong essay Stacey should (Examine each element of the play) or (focus on the plot) and (develop the central idea for the essay) or (write a summary of the plot)

Here are a few pointers; hope this is useful)

Ovation-by definition- is show of appreciation from an audience, for a person’s accomplishments or flaw.

“Everyone deserves a standing ovation because we all overcometh the world.”

A person’s accomplishment could be how they made a positive change in this world, strong leadership- that makes them a effective leader or simply helping others. A person’s flaw- mistakes in life, sin or even guilt should also be considered an appreciation- an ovation for representing mankind’s flaw and that humanity makes mistakes, fulfilling at least one deadly sin such as greed, lust, selfishness etc.

Thus, regardless of a person’s achievement or flaw- a person deserves an applause for, not the least, living in this society and this world that we are all living together and dying together.

That was just the introduction.. the best part is yet to come.. now it’s your turn!!

Here are other pointers to talk about in your essay:

Shakespeare’s famous line “All the World’s a stage. That agrees with your line: “Everybody deserves a standing ovation…”

Shakespeare explains that men and women are like players: they live, and die, some being celebrated and some forever living in solitude till their death. Shakespeare states the world is a “stage” which symbolizes that mankind is in its peak. The world is changing everyday: little by little and humanity is falling behind.
Due to our world turning into machinery: factories, an automotive future: where humans only job to live (entrance) and to die (exit) the famous humans remembered and the flawed not recalled.

This is according to Shakespeare’s imagery.

I don’t know what grade your in, but I think simplifying Shakespeare’s word of mouth in your essay would be handy and useful as it has strong references of your quote, and agrees strongly in your essay.

Hope this helps 🙂

Combustion analysis of an unknown compound provides the following data: 73.5 grams carbon (C), 4.20 grams hydrogen (H) and 72.3 grams chlorine (Cl). What is the percent composition of each element in this compound?

This problem is to apply Roult’s Law.

Roult’s Law states that the vapor pressure, p, of a solution of a non-volatile solute is equal to the vapor pressure of the pure solvent, Po solv, times the mole fraction of the solvent, Xsolv

p = Xsolv * Po sol

X solv = number of moles of solvent / number of moles of solution

The solvent is water and the solute (not volatile) is glycerin.

Number of moles = mass in grams / molar mass

mass of water = 132 ml * 1 g/ml = 132 g

molar mass of water = 18 g/mol

=> number of moles of water = 132 g / 18 g/mol = 7.33333 mol

mass of glycerin = 27.2 g

molar mass of glycerin:, C3H8O3: 3 * 12 g/mol + 8 * 1 g/mol + 3*16 g/mol = 92 g/mol

number of moles of glycerin = 27.2g / 92 g/mol = 0.29565

total number of moles = 7.33333 moles + 0.29565 moles = 7.62898 moles

=> X solv = 7.33333 / 7.62898 = 0.96125

=> p = 0.96125 * 31.8 torr ≈ 30.57 torr ≈ 30.6 torr.

Answer: 30.6 torr

Which Enlightenment idea influenced Adam Smith’s analysis of the free market in his The Wealth of Nations? separation of powers social contract general will natural laws

Karl Marx developed the economic theory of communism.

Further Explanation:

One of Karl Marx’s most famous contributions came in his book the Communist Manifesto. This book explained Mark’s views on government, the economy, and ultimately lead to the creation of communism as an idea.

A communism system is one that is economic and political in nature. In this system, the government would control the means of production, the distribution of goods and resources, and would overall have significant control over society. This system of communism is the opposite of the capitalist/democratic system used in America today. These two ideologies would clash during the mid 20th century in what is now known as the Cold War.

Marx’s ideas were based on his observations of the world around him. He felt that the mistreatment of labor by industry and private corporations would ultimately lead to an uprising by angry laborers all over the world.

Answer:

Henri Rousseau’s Portrait of a Woman

Explanation:

Magical Realism finds precedent in eighteenth-century Gothic novels, but also connects with sixteenth-century Baroque or Surrealism, almost contemporary in the early twentieth century.

Among the most striking features of this movement, we find the blend of realism with pure unreality that is observed as normal, with the integration of magical elements without seeming extraordinary.

These works do not explain the supernatural elements and are narrated as something natural, with characters unaware of their transcendent dimension. In addition, death has paramount value in the relativistic discourse of truth, with a metaphysical focus on space and time and an intimate atmosphere that blends characters with myths, legends, and natural cultures.

Henri Rousseau’s Portrait of a Woman is considered one of the first magical realistic stories.

Analyze the following statement: The decade of the 1920s was one more traditional values collided with modern changes. Some examples to use in your analysis would be the rise of the Klan, The new immigration laws of the early 1920s, the changing role of women, the rise of the jazz age, the scopes trial. Please address at least three of these.

The Reformation actually started after Columbus’s landing in North America.

Treaty of Tordesillas in 1494 was forced on Spain and Portugal by the Pope. The Pope basically said that all lands in the New World belonged to Spain and all new non-Christian lands in the Eastern Hemisphere belong to Portugal. No other Catholic countries can do anything in those areas without the approval of the owner.

The pope basically drew two lines on the globe setting the border. The western line started at the north pole cut half way through Greenland and ended at the south pole. The new world was everything to the west. Problem is that it ran through a chunk of Brazil which is why Brazil is an ex-Portuguese colony.

The Eastern line starts at the North Pole runs through siberia, through the pacific just west of Japan, and cuts Australia in half. Of course, Australia hadn’t been discovered yet. Everything to the the east of this line is the new world.

Obviously, this treaty didn’t hold up well, but the reformation gave the protestant countries an excuse to explore the new world since they didn’t have to take orders from the Pope. Even so, France, a catholic country, ignored it too.

Really, the only country that was effected by the reformation in the exploration of the Americas was England. All the other countries, changed their religion once and then went to war with the nearest catholic country. Sweden became Lutheran and stayed that way. The Dutch Republic became Calvinists and stayed that way.

England kept switching. First it was Catholic. Then, Henry VIII made it protestant. Then, Henry’s daughter Mary I made it catholic again. Henry’s other daughter Elizabeth I (with the two hit movies) made it Protestant again.

Years latter, Oliver Cromwell over through the monarchy, executed the King Charles I, and established a Protestant fundamentalist religious military dictatorship. He outlawed drinking, smoking, gambling, theater, dirty books, sports, prostitution, and anything generally fun. He would have made Saudi Arabia proud. Basically, all you could do is work, pray, and die. Sex was allowed for creating children, but you couldn’t enjoy it.

When Cromwell died, the people of England said enough was enough and brought back the King. Charles II kicked out the fundamentalists and brought back drinking, smoking, gambling, dirty books, sports, prostitution, and having fun during sex. Incidentally, those were also all his hobbies.

This brings us to the famous Pilgrims. They were part of Cromwell’s crowd. They kept agitating a return to the no-fun policy. They annoyed everybody. They weren’t persecuted for practicing their religion, they were persecuted because they kept trying to force their religion on everyone else. Sort of like Southern Baptists.

Charles II was the most easy going monarch in British history. Do realize how annoying you have to be to get him to throw you out.

Charles’s brother James II was obsessed with turning Great Britain catholic again. After four years of trying, they kicked him and his followers out.

An investment bank has a position vacant for the post of finance manager. Which three skills will they look for in their candidates? A.creativity B.decision making C.teamwork abilities D.quantitative data analysis E.selling skills

The triangle ABC is similar to triangle LMP. The order here is very important. The letters correspond to one another
A corresponds to L (first letters of each sequence)
B corresponds to M (second letters of each sequence)
C corresponds to P (third letters of each sequence)

In a similar fashion, the segments also correspond to one another.
AB corresponds to LM (first two letters of each sequence)
AC corresponds to LP (first and last letters of each sequence)
BC corresponds to MP (last two letters of each sequence)

————————————

AB corresponds to LM. AB is 4 units long. LM is 2 units long. So AB is twice as long as LM. This ratio (of 2:1) will be applied to every paired corresponding value.

Also, the right angle is at angle M for triangle LMP. The right angle will be at angle B for triangle ABC (since B corresponds to M). The answer will have an x coordinate of 7. So the answer is either choice B or choice C.

If we move 4 units down from point B, we land on (7,-10). That isn’t listed as an answer choice. Let’s try moving 4 units up from point B. We land on (7,-2). This is an answer choice

So the final answer is choice C) (7,-2)

Answer:

The correct heading for a long essay about various activities to do at the beach is ‘Parasailing, Hang-gliding, Snorkeling, and more!

Explanation:

This is the perfect heading for an essay regarding activities to do at the beach since it names several activities that are typically done there.

‘What to wear this summer’ is not a possible option since this heading is possibly aimed at the summer ‘trends/craze’, that is to say, what people want to wear to fit in with the rest.

Writing a Postcard‘ is not suitable because this is not normally done at the beach, it is rather done at home or the apartment. Plus, it only describes one acitvity, not various.

Finally, ‘Choosing a Sunscreen‘ is not possible either because it also describes one single activity and one that is usually done at a shop or before going to the beach.

Huawei Smartphone Strategy Case Analysis

Running head: HUAWEI’S SMARTPHONE STRATEGY

Porter’s Five Forces Analysis of Huawei and the Smartphone Industry

Michael Porter designed a Five Force analysis for use in exploring the environment in which a company or a product is operating so as to create competitive advantage (Rothaermel, 2015). The five forces developed by Porter include threat of entry, power of suppliers, threat of substitutes and competitive rivalry.

Huawei Smartphone Strategy Case Analysis

  • Threat of substitute products or services

The smartphone industry is facing threats from other products or services. Potential substitutes for smartphones are laptops, desktop computers, tablets, game players, smart TVs, multimedia players, cameras, smart watches, and bank cards among others. Smartphones can be substituted with desktop computers and even feature phones that allow users to perform simple operations like making calls and sending and receiving text messages. Furthermore, the number of desktop software applications that represent relevant substitute for the smartphones are on the rise. However, smartphones remains a strong substitute for all these other options, owing to their high level of mobility, functional level, and expandability.

Also Study: How To Write a Good Case Study

  • Rivalry among Existing Firms

Huawei is operating in smartphone industry saturated by different firms including Apple, Samsung, LG, Xiaomi, Lenovo, HTC and many others. The rivalry among the existing companies in the smartphone industry intensifies as the market becomes saturated. This is because there is very little differentiation in the range of products that they offer. Moreover, the higher the number and diversity of existing rivals, the higher competition level in the industry. However, Huawei has emerged a strong smartphone manufacturer and producer in the global market thus giving it a more competitive ground among its competitors, thanks to its quality smartphone models like the P9 (Dempsey, 2016).

  • Bargaining Power of Suppliers

A smartphone features various hardware and software components, including Operating system, apps, processor, memory, frame, display, camera, battery, and many others. Smartphone companies usually outsource some of these hardware and software components from suppliers who charge different prices for their products. With the high cost that usually comes with manufacturing some of these components, manufactures tend to charge high costs for their supplies which in turn impacts on the profits of the smartphone industry from the sales of the final product. However, Huawei owns some of these components, like the Kirin 955 chip a Leica’s dual-lens camera.

The smartphone industry has become a lucrative business, with new entrants joining. This is partly due to the increasing number of smartphone users and technology enthusiast who prefers portable mobile smartphone devices to desktop computers and laptops. Today, other companies such as Tecno, Infinix and others have joined the business, adding up to the number of the existing competitors. However, Huawei has established itself as market leader in the global smartphone industry, coming third after Samsung and Apple.

Huawei’s Competitive Advantage in the Smartphone Industry

Huawei draws its competitive advantage from a number of sources including multiple distribution channels, market position;

Huawei has successfully managed to reposition itself in the market. Initially, the company was viewed as offering low-end phones as the Samsung and Apple dominated the high-end smartphone market. Most of its phones were sold to telecom carriers who often targeted low-end consumer market  (De Cremer & Zhang, 2014). This could not help the company establish itself in the market as they were targeting carriers instead of ultimate consumers. However, the company has today emerged among the top smartphone companies, coming in the position after Samsung and Apple.

Also Study: Huawei: How Can We Lead the Way Case Study Solution

The success of Huawei’s Mate and P series enabled the company to move to the medium and high-end market level and increased its brand value. This brand position has given the competitive advantage over its rivals. Huawei’s P9 smartphone targets technologically sophisticated consumers, making it comparable to Apple’s premium phones.

  • ii) Multiple Distribution Channels

Huawei has managed to expand its distribution channels, unlike sometimes before when it’s used only to sell to telecom. Today, Huawei has positioned itself in the smartphone industry with a “Dual-channel” strategy (De Cremer & Zhang, 2014). Dual channel involve the use of both offline retailers and online distribution channels. This strategy has given the company a competitive advantage as it sales both to low-end and high-end users. Companies such as Samsung and Apple mainly targets high-end users thus limited distribution channels. Huawei still drives sales through its traditional telecom carriers and online retailers through its “Honor” Brand which is supplemented by offline distribution channels. The company has managed to reduce its distribution costs through online sales.

  • iii) Research And Development

Huawei invests in a lot of research and development to improve the quality of its smartphone productions. The company has massively invested in R & D personalities and facilities to enable it rise to the global level smartphone producer. Created in 2004, HiSilicon Technologies Co., Ltd has been the driving force behind Huawei’s smartphone success in this competitive industry. HiSilicon has design centers both in China (Beijing and Shanghai) and abroad (Sweden) (De Cremer & Zhang, 2014). The company conceives its smartphones as a “collision between high-tech and fashion”. It emphasizes on both technology and user interface in its smartphone design.

The manufacturer’s collaboration with carriers and suppliers gives it’s a competitive advantage in the smartphone industry. For example, for over 20 years now, Huawei has been collaborating with leading global telecom carriers, which form forms one of its reliable distribution channels. The mobile manufacturer also collaborates with suppliers of mobile technology components such as Harman and Leica as to give consumers high quality products. Its collaboration with Leica resulted to the production of the P9 smartphone, featuring a dual-lens camera (Dempsey, 2016).

Huawei’s telecom network assets are another source of its competitive advantage. For example, the company’s Kirin 950 SoC, is a new mobile chipset to address the battery-life problem which has been a major problem for most smartphone users. The company has also issued patents to other smartphone manufacturers for the use of its components in their products. In 2015, the company licensed patents to Apple, covering wireless communication technologies like LTE, GSM, and UMTS.

For Huawei to remain competitive in the smartphone industry, the company needs to embark on customer engagement through a strong marketing management. Existing brands such as in both Apple and Samsung are already engaging in competitive marketing for their products and engaging customers so as to grab a share of the customer base. Through this, Huawei will suppress any competitor who plans to overtake it in the
market and brad position.

Polaroid Process Control Case Analysis

Company have highest concerned with its quality and production, their ignorance and decrease in the reorganization of the production could be result in the production mistakes, that can be hinder in the growth of the company. However, the records in 1985 proved that company production mistakes are 10 times greater than the original ones. The estimated cost of the defect products, before the green light, was more than $2 million. Company need to overcome these step.

Green light could be supportive in managing the production of the company; green light can detect the problems, technicians and operators could easily then resolve the related issues, to avoid the mistakes in the future; the company has to implement the statistical process controls principles. Different implementation programs can take place; the first implementation could be result in the process, which controls the quality fluctuation, under a given set of specification by the green light, the problems could be detected. Second, the tools of engineering technicians should be given to the production operators, as they have to manage the function, so in the case of any problem, they can consult or take decisions accordingly. Third, there should be training of the operators and check on the quality specification of the products by the quality control auditor (QC auditor), there should proper evaluation by QC auditor, as the operators are responsible for taking measurements. If there will be proper check the thing could be better, upper and lower control limit should be evaluate on control chart. If there are some faults in the machines, then technicians need to restore the problem. Machines should be properly checked before the 8 hours shift and before putting it in the green light, so that flaws could be detected and improvement could be done. If there are, number of flaws occurs during sampling and testing then the machine should be rejected to get safe from the future errors. In order to avoid such errors, TPS machines identify the defects and immediately power cut the machine when error occurs and companies could be saved from bigger problems, same in the case of green light QA process, as the error is marked the production is stopped so they will be no waste in the production.

Polaroid Process Control Case Analysis

X-Chart Weight Shift A

The Chart Weigh Shift A pod, tell about the variables between Upper Control Limit and Lower Control Limit, that everything is controlled.  It shows that the all performance or weight is under control; the chart also tells about the R2 quality, that what is the condition as the process is under controlled, the quality of R2 is in good condition, then the number of quality control sample can be reduces.

X-Chart Weight Shift B

The Chart Shift B pod, tell about the weight performance, that the performance is under control. The variables are between the Upper Control Limit and Lower Control Limit, from the variables it comes to know that the performance is under control. UCL and LCL tells about the quality, the sample size can be maintained or reduce under the good quality. Due to the less sampling, the scrap cost can also be reduced.

X-Chart Weight Shift C

The Chart Shift C pod, tell about the weigh performance, that the variables between Upper Control Limit and Lower Control Limit are under control. It shows about the lower control limit, that functions are falling and may go out of lower control limit, even if the quality is controlled. For the falling of problems, there should be check that why problems are taking place, by the Polaroid’s operation management system detection should take place.

X-Chart Height Shift A

If the variables are out of control, Chart Finger Height Shift A tells about that, that the functions by R2 are not operating effectively. In the case of problems, as showed by the Shift A, technicians are called, to stop further downward trends.
