Read this stanza from "The Raven." Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning, Soon again I heard a tapping something louder than before. "Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice; Let me see, then, what thereat is and this mystery explore– Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore;– 'Tis the wind and nothing more." This stanza contributes to the suspense of the poem because a) the reader knows what is making the noise while the speaker does not. b) the speaker and the reader wait again to find out what is making the noise. c) the tapping gets louder, which foreshadows that the noise is made by a bird. d) the wind gets stronger and makes more noise against the speaker’s window.

Hey there!

Correct answer is D. Comma or Period Inside Rule

A. Question mark or exclamation point inside: those are not really necessary.

B. Colon or semicolon: not, a semicolon would divide the whole sentence and it would be shorten; a colon would work but after requested, when there is already a comma.

C. Question mark or Exclamation Point Outside Rule: would not work, becase it is an very polite and affirmative sentence.

D: A comma or period inside rule: actually, just a comma would work. Please, Cooper’s dad requested, go… Cooper’s dad requested must be in between commas as it is a vocative.

Hope this helps

Read the poem “There will Come Soft Rain” by Sara Teasdale (1884–1933). Which is the best restatement of the theme of the poem? There will come soft rain and the smell of the ground, And swallows circling with their shimmering sound; And frogs in the pools singing at night, And wild plum-trees in tremulous white; Robins will wear their feathery fire 5 Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire. And not one will know of the war, not one Will care at last when it is done. Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree, If mankind perished utterly. 10 And Spring herself when she woke at dawn, Would scarcely know that we were gone. Humanity needs nature to survive. Nature is the enemy of humanity. Nature will endure even if humans do not. Humans will destroy the world.

Here are a few pointers; hope this is useful)

Ovation-by definition- is show of appreciation from an audience, for a person’s accomplishments or flaw.

“Everyone deserves a standing ovation because we all overcometh the world.”

A person’s accomplishment could be how they made a positive change in this world, strong leadership- that makes them a effective leader or simply helping others. A person’s flaw- mistakes in life, sin or even guilt should also be considered an appreciation- an ovation for representing mankind’s flaw and that humanity makes mistakes, fulfilling at least one deadly sin such as greed, lust, selfishness etc.

Thus, regardless of a person’s achievement or flaw- a person deserves an applause for, not the least, living in this society and this world that we are all living together and dying together.

That was just the introduction.. the best part is yet to come.. now it’s your turn!!

Here are other pointers to talk about in your essay:

Shakespeare’s famous line “All the World’s a stage. That agrees with your line: “Everybody deserves a standing ovation…”

Shakespeare explains that men and women are like players: they live, and die, some being celebrated and some forever living in solitude till their death. Shakespeare states the world is a “stage” which symbolizes that mankind is in its peak. The world is changing everyday: little by little and humanity is falling behind.
Due to our world turning into machinery: factories, an automotive future: where humans only job to live (entrance) and to die (exit) the famous humans remembered and the flawed not recalled.

This is according to Shakespeare’s imagery.

I don’t know what grade your in, but I think simplifying Shakespeare’s word of mouth in your essay would be handy and useful as it has strong references of your quote, and agrees strongly in your essay.

Hope this helps 🙂

Answer:  The correct option is (C). 10 = square root of the quantity of x minus 8 all squared plus y minus 9 all squared

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that the segment AB has point A located at (8, 9). The distance from A to B is 10 units.

We are to select the correct option that could be used to calculate the coordinates for point B.

Let, (x, y) be the co-ordinates of point B.

According to distance formula, the distance between two points (a, b) and (c, d) is given by

d=sqrt{(c-a)^2+(d-b)^2}.

Therefore, the distance between the points A(8, 9) and B(x, y) is given by

d=sqrt{(x-8)^2+(y-9)^2}.

Since, distance between A and B is 10 units, so

d = 10.

Therefore,

10=sqrt{(x-8)^2+(y-9)^2}.

Thus, the correct statement is

10 = square root of the quantity of x minus 8 all squared plus y minus 9 all squared.

Option (C) is correct.

The options of the question are, A) by explaining that world leaders are doing all they can to tackle climate change now. B) by quoting Winston Churchill to show that he also believes that climate change is a serious issue. C) by comparing the inaction of the world leaders of today to the inaction of leaders in the past. D) by showing the differences in the effects of climate change and World War II.

The correct answers are C) by comparing the inaction of the world leaders of today to the inaction of leaders in the past.

The excerpt that develops Gore’s theme that climate change is a problem that must be addressed is “by comparing the inaction of the world leaders of today to the inaction of leaders in the past.”

Al Gore develops the urgency of attending the issues that climate change brings when in the excerpt he makes reference to the comparison made by Winston Churchill to Hitler’s threat: “They go on in strange paradox,, decided only to be undecided, resolved to be irresolute, adamant for drift, solid for fluidity, all-powerful to be impotent”.  This way, Al Gore is comparing the inaction of the world leaders of today to the inaction of leaders in the past.

Muultimedia Promo try answer this question and explaining them or give examples of that topic Thanks

Okay, I’ll try to help best I can.

For the first question, it’s basically asking what you did to ensure that you have appealed to your designated audience, or the demographic that you are trying to attract to your product/whatever you’re advertising. It also asks about your purpose, and since I don’t know your purpose for making your promo, you’ll have to answer this yourself.

For the second question, you’ll have to add all of the media types that you used to create your promo. Did you write your promo down on paper, then take a picture of it? Did you use images, and if you did, were these images created by you using paper and pencil/a digital program or found on a website? What did you use to convey your message, television? Social media? A physical medium, like a billboard or flyer? Did you use video or sound recording in addition to any of the things I stated?

For the third question, you’ll have to inquire with your test buddy.

For the final question, you’ll have to describe what you did to the response your test buddy gave you. Did you change anything? Did you take any action outside of changing your work, preferably non-violent? (That was a joke, I think they’re just asking what you did related to your promo).

I hope this helped you out! Feel free to ask me any additional questions if you have any. 🙂

I have this question from the textbook:” Web Development and Design Foundations with HTML5-7th ed.” I cannot seem to figure out part “c” of the question. 1. Design a new web page using embedded CSS to configure a background color and text color. Include the following in your web page. a. Your name Use an h1 header that you have configured, using element selector with drop shadow text, transparent background color, and a sans-serif font b. A description of your favorite hobbies and activities Configure a CSS class that stylizes this description list c. A photo of yourself (be sure to optimize the image for display on the Web) Write the CSS for an id called holder that is configured to 80% width and centered Put your photo in a that uses the id holder Make sure that your image is accessible by using an alt tag, etc. Make this image a hyperlink by adding a link to it to a favorite hobby site or your email with a mailto link this is what I have so far, and kind of stuck!

Hi! I’ve never taken a class for web development, so I can’t say for sure. But I think part (c) is looking for an image of you that is probably low in file size while still looking good. That means that .jpg will probably do, you can look in your photo editor when saving/exporting for settings such as compression and number of colors, and you can try to make the image just the right size for a normal screen (as long as it looks good on a larger screen).

Beyond that, there’s just many details to this. Just follow the instructions a few times.
Make the image.
Make the HTML without the CSS.
Make the CSS and put it in a <style> HTML element.

Also, the question is weird:  it suggests using an “alt” tag. I think it’s referring to the “alt” attribute of the <img/> tag. This specifies text that can appear if for any reason the image can’t be displayed.

You can give an element an id by giving it the id attribute, like <div id=”holder”></div>.
And the image can be a link by having the <img/> element inside of and <a> element.

Without this type of feature on a mobile device, a simple swipe gives anyone access to the device. what is the term for this feature?

Hey there! Hello!

For this question, I believe the answer will be something along the lines of a passcode/code lock feature. This basically prevents anyone without knowledge of your device’s code access to your device, which is especially handy in case you lose it and don’t want other to have free reign of your information.

Without it, yeah, anyone can simply swipe into your device (or, press the home button or whatever they did with iOS 10) and use/view information on it.

If you have multiple choice answer and my answer doesn’t seem to fit into any of them, let me know and we’ll take it from there.

Hope this helped you out! Feel free to ask me any additional questions if you have any. 🙂

Color theory is a type of code, like HTML, that computers use to visually display colors. True False

Hey there! Hello!

I wouldn’t say this is true. As an artist, colour theory has to do with colour combination and mixing and helps artists see which colours look good together, what they should mix in order to achieve a certain colour/effect/etc., that kind of thing. It’s not something that computers use.

I believe what computers do use is hex codes. They’re six digit codes that go alongside HTML and other coding languages to identify colours. For example, solid white would be #ffffff and solid black would be #000000, just to name 2 of the many out there.

Hope this helps you out! Feel free to ask me any additional questions if you have any. 🙂

I have a couple of questions on java for my homework 21229 Assume the availability of a method named makeLine that can be passed a non-negative integer n and a character c and return a String consisting of n identical characters that are all equal to c. Write a method named printTriangle that receives two integer parameters n andk. If n is negative the method does nothing. If n happens to be an even number, its value is raised to the next odd number (e.g. 4–>5). Then, when k has the value zero, the method prints a SYMMETRIC triangle of O’s (the capital letter O) as follows: first a line of n O, followed by a line of n-2 O’s (indented by one space), and then a line of n-4 O’s (indented by two spaces), and so on. For example, if the method received 5,0 (or 4,0) it would print: OOOOO OOO O Note: in the above output , the first line contains 0 spaces before the first O, the next line 1 space, and so on. Note: These instructions state what the method does when k is zero, but it is up to you, the programmer, to determine what it does when k is not zero and use it for your advantage. The method must not use a loop of any kind (for, while, do-while) to accomplish its job. The method should invoke makeLine to accomplish the task of creating Strings of varying lengths. 20861 A palindrome is a string that reads the same forwards or backwards; for example dad, mom, deed (i.e., reversing a palindrome produces the same string ). Write a recursive, boolean -valued method , isPalindrome that accepts a string and returns whether the string is a palindrome. A string , s, is a palindrome if: s is the empty string or s consists of a single letter (which reads the same back or forward), or the first and last characters of s are the same, and the rest of the string (i.e., the second through next-to-last characters ) form a palindrome. 20864 A ‘array palindrome’ is an array which, when its elements are reversed, remains the same (i.e., the elements of the array are same when scanned forward or backward) Write a recursive, boolean -valued method , isPalindrome, that accepts an integer -valued array , and a pair ofintegers representing the starting and ending indexes of the portion of the array to be tested for being a palindrome. The function returnswhether that portion of the array is a palindrome. An array is a palindrome if: the array is empty (0 elements ) or contains only one element (which therefore is the same when reversed), or the first and last elements of the array are the same, and the rest of the array (i.e., the second through next-to-last elements ) form a palindrome.

In C, strings aren’t a data type. Strings are handled as an array of char (acters). Therefore, your two palindrome assignments are basically the same.

Recursion is something that is probably the most mind warping thing to learn in programming, but it is VERY well worth it. There’s a number of problems that are recursive in nature. One that you’re familiar with is doing addition with pencil and paper.  Think about it: you align the numbers in columns as you’re “going in”, when you run out of numbers, the base case, you start adding the column of numbers and the carry and write out the least significant digit of the total and returning the most significant digit[s] up the “unwind”.

The correct answer is the first option: the rationale for the Holocoust will always be incomprehensible.

The excerpt has many phrases and sentences that relate to understanding the reasoning behind the concentration camp called Birkenau. The Narrator claims that “[above] all, [survivors] tried to understand” why was it necessary for them to die in the concentration camps which the narrator calls “death factory”.

In the end, the narrator concludes by saying “[perhaps] there was nothing to understand.” This means that no matter how hard the narrator tries to find answers to his or her questions, maybe there was no sane reason for the existance of the concentration camp, Birkenau.

I think it would make sense for the author to agree with the fact that there’s no logical explanation for the Holocaust.
