6) Television is a bad influence on children.
Here’s my thought, I eliminated the other choices, the first statement says that TV has 3 types of shows that affect children, however the part in which this information was given, the 3 types were examples of shows that parents fingered.
The third one says that TV gives good and bad programming for all families, in this paragraph we did not have anything talking about good shows.
The fourth, same thing as the third, didn’t say anything about entertainment.
7) It is effective support for the claim.
The author says that “zoos do more good than harm”, so he supports zoos. In the following paragraph he talks about a study, in which the head researcher summs up the results by saying the importance of zoos for human kind and protection of a specie and the good sides of having a zoo.
8) Facts from a documentary about mechanical and artificial hearts.
This is the answer because the other ones all support organ donors. The question asked us to choose the answer that is ineffective evidence, artificial hearts do not come from organ donor, therefore does not support the claim.
9) It is effective support for the claim.
Looking at the first question, the author supports the idea of educational benefits of having zoos. This paragraph talks about how many people visit the zoos each year, in this case, 175 million people is a large number, connecting with the idea that educational benefits is involved, much education is given each year.
10) The United States should increase spending for nuclear power.
I thinks it’s this one because if we check the other options, they all have to do with teenagers and young people. The one that doesn’t fit is this one.
