Here are a few pointers; hope this is useful)

Ovation-by definition- is show of appreciation from an audience, for a person’s accomplishments or flaw.

“Everyone deserves a standing ovation because we all overcometh the world.”

A person’s accomplishment could be how they made a positive change in this world, strong leadership- that makes them a effective leader or simply helping others. A person’s flaw- mistakes in life, sin or even guilt should also be considered an appreciation- an ovation for representing mankind’s flaw and that humanity makes mistakes, fulfilling at least one deadly sin such as greed, lust, selfishness etc.

Thus, regardless of a person’s achievement or flaw- a person deserves an applause for, not the least, living in this society and this world that we are all living together and dying together.

That was just the introduction.. the best part is yet to come.. now it’s your turn!!

Here are other pointers to talk about in your essay:

Shakespeare’s famous line “All the World’s a stage. That agrees with your line: “Everybody deserves a standing ovation…”

Shakespeare explains that men and women are like players: they live, and die, some being celebrated and some forever living in solitude till their death. Shakespeare states the world is a “stage” which symbolizes that mankind is in its peak. The world is changing everyday: little by little and humanity is falling behind.
Due to our world turning into machinery: factories, an automotive future: where humans only job to live (entrance) and to die (exit) the famous humans remembered and the flawed not recalled.

This is according to Shakespeare’s imagery.

I don’t know what grade your in, but I think simplifying Shakespeare’s word of mouth in your essay would be handy and useful as it has strong references of your quote, and agrees strongly in your essay.

Hope this helps 🙂

The correct sequence according to the question is steps- 4→1→3→5→6→2→7.

Explanation:

The given steps show that how the rocks are recycled from one form to another form due to certain factors like weathering over geological time scale which was explained by James Hutton and he termed this concept as the rock cycle.

The steps of the rock cycle in sequence according to the question are:

1.  Breakdown of rock by weathering into regolith- step 4

2.  Dumping and deposition of regolith in a reservoir- step  1

3.  Erosion and transportation of regolith by rain or wind- step  3

4. Cementing of the deposited layer to form sedimentary rock- step  5

5. Conversion of sedimentary rock to a metamorphic rock due to intense heat and pressure- step 6

6. Conversion of  metamorphic rocks to magma due to the melting of metamorphic rocks-
step 2

7. Conversion of magma to igneous rocks due to volcanic activities and cooling of magma-  step 7

Therefore sequence according to the question is steps- 4→1→3→5→6→2→7 is correct.

Which of the following is a historical novel1.) The power of sympathy 2.)memoirs of the bloomergrove family3.) the female American 4.) charlotte temple

[ad_1]

Answer:Leo Tolstoy wrote the novella The Death of Ivan Ilyich to criticize the emerging middle class of modern Russia in the nineteenth century. Ivan Ilyich, his family, and his friends are part of this budding middle class. Tolstoy’s aim in writing this novella was to criticize the thoughts and the approach of middle class people toward their families, their jobs, and society. He used the life of Ivan Ilyich to demonstrate all the aspects of the middle class that he believed were wrong. Tolstoy portrays Ivan Ilyich as a man whose life decisions are based on social acceptance. He chooses his friends and even his wife based on their social standing. When he starts to find his family life unpleasant because of his wife’s constant nagging, he limits his interactions with the whole family. Instead, he seeks comfort in his work. He assumes a formal relationship with his family members, particularly his wife. This change in his feelings and attitude toward his family does not seem strange to him. On the contrary, getting away from his family becomes his life goal:

This aloofness might have grieved Ivan Ilyich had he considered that it ought not to exist, but he now regarded the position as normal, and even made it the goal at which he aimed in family life.

Tolstoy deplored the middle-class habit of maintaining distance with family members in private but keeping up appearances of closeness for the public. Tolstoy shows his character Ivan Ilyich making the effort to maintain this detachment from his family members while ensuring that his family appears on the outside to be a regular and happy family. Even when he has to be at home with his family, he makes sure that they have guests. That way, he can avoid confrontations or meaningful discussions with his family:

His aim was to free himself more and more from those unpleasantnesses and to give them a semblance of harmlessness and propriety. He attained this by spending less and less time with his family, and when obliged to be at home he tried to safeguard his position by the presence of outsiders.

Ilyich’s work soon becomes an obsession, and everything else, including his family is secondary to his job:

The chief thing however was that he had his official duties. The whole interest of his life now centered in the official world and that interest absorbed him.

Through Ivan Ilyich, Tolstoy portrayed a class of people who make determined efforts to escape human contact and suffering by seemingly living in denial. They are people who run away from love and relationships, and they are unwilling to reflect on their lives. Instead, they choose to exist in their self-centered world until they are jolted into reality. In Ivan Ilyich’s case, this jolt comes in the form of his illness in chapter 4.

Tolstoy would not have agreed with Ivan Ilyich’s priorities. Unlike Ivan, Tolstoy looked inward throughout his adult life. He searched for a deeper meaning and purpose, especially in regard to his political and religious ideals. While those ideals eventually caused Tolstoy to avoid his wife, he generally had a close relationship with his family. By all accounts, he seemed very much a man who loved and cherished his wife and their 10 children. While Tolstoy was dedicated to his writing, his family seemed to inspire him, rather than get in the way of his literary genius. His wife was involved in his work, having transcribed most of his writing. Even Tolstoy’s last days were spent on a pilgrimage that he embarked on with his youngest daughter.

An example of point-by-point organization in a comparative essay is “The Dark Game uses historical examples from the Civil War. The Code Book also uses historical examples, but from the Cold War”.

A comparative essay is a piece of writing in which the author compares two items, which can be events, books, movies, and even ideas, by considering the similarities and differences between them. Moreover, a common way of organizing this type of essay is using the point-by-point method, which consists in comparing the items one point at a time. In this case, the two items that are being compared are The Dark Game and The Code Book and the point that connects both is the use of historical examples.

Mathew B. Brady  was one of the earliest photographers in American history, best known for his scenes of the Civil War. He studied under inventor Samuel F. B. Morse, who pioneered the daguerreotype technique in America. Brady opened his own studio in New York in 1844, and photographed Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams, among other celebrities. When the Civil War started, his use of a mobile studio and darkroom enabled vivid battlefield photographs that brought home the reality of war to the public. Thousands of war scenes were captured, as well as portraits of generals and politicians on both sides of the conflict, though most of these were taken by his assistants, rather than by Brady himself. After the war, these pictures went out of fashion, and the government did not purchase the master-copies as he had anticipated. Brady’s fortunes declined sharply, and he died in debt.

Such diverse historical figures as jesus christ, napoleon, julius caesar, adolf hitler, winston churchill, franklin roosevelt, martin luther king, jr., and cesar chavez, are examples of __________ leaders

[ad_1]

Explanation:
Melchizedek was king of Jerusalem, much earlier than the Jews had inhabited it, and was a priest of the Highest God, as the Bible says, referring to the omnipresent, omnipotent God. He lived in the time of Abraham, and as it is also recorded in the Bible, welcomed Abraham from his return from the campaign of war, blessed him, offered him bread and wine, and said that blessed was he who came in the name of the Lord.

By bringing bread and wine, Melchizedek symbolically represents the prophecy of the future coming of Jesus Christ, as supreme priest, son of God. In addition, an important parallel, that Christ’s priesthood after order of Melchizedek, is better than the priesthood of Aaron, is that Melchizedek was not in blood kinship with Abraham, whom he blessed, because Melchizedek was not Jewish.

This is important because Aaron was chosen from one of the tribes of Israel to be a priest among the Jews. According to the laws of Moses, this tribe always gave the priesthood to serve and judge among the Jews.

As Christ, upon his arrival, healed and taught, preached to the Jews, but not only to them, let us remind ourselves that he healed the servant of the Roman Centurion, and many other non-Jews. This means that Christ, as the son of God, became the supreme priest, it has been shown throughout history to all non-Jewish Christians. This again means that the priesthood of Christ is based on righteousness and faith, as was Melchizedek. Unlike the Aaron Priesthood, which was based on blood kinship, since he was from one of the Jewish tribes, he served only the Jews, and the Old Testament law forbade him to serve non-Jews.

Which of these best explains the historical skill of connecting the past and the present?

Question: What happens as connection and trade between countries increases? Check all that apply.

Options:

There is more demand for natural resources.

• There will probably be more pollution from manufacturing.

• Natural resources are transported worldwide.

• With higher demand, all natural resources will be depleted.

• Finished products are transported worldwide.

Answer: The correct answers are: There will probably be more pollution from manufacturing and Finished products are transported worldwide.

Explanation: One concern about trade’s role in the environment is its need for transportation services. As a result of international trade, finished products are transported worldwide. The international shipping industry is responsible for the carriage of around 90% of world trade. Shipping is the life of the global economy and without it, intercontinental trade and the import/export of affordable food and manufactured goods wouldn’t be possible. There are many ways to trade. It can be by land, road, rail, pipelines, air or sea. But not everything about trade is positive. As we know, international trade involves countries specializing in the manufacturing and exporting of goods in which they exchange and receive through transportations. This has always been a negative aspect of international trade due to the fear that its expansion is likely to lead to increased use of transportation, which leads to air pollution, harming the environment. If connection and trade occurs between countries, finished products are transported worldwide but there will probably be more pollution from manufacturing. Many trading agencies are working on reducing this problem by implementing different transporting systems but, although this has helped, it is still known as a current problem.

Ashurbanipal created the world’s first libary in Assyria, this libary known as The Royal Library of Ashurbanipal, named after Ashurbanipal, the last great king of the Neo-Assyrian Empire, is a collection of thousands of clay tablets and fragments containing texts of all kinds (royal inscriptions, chronicles, mythological and religious texts, contracts, royal grants and decrees, royal letters, assorted administrative documents, and even what would be today called classified documents, reports from spies, ambassadors, etc.)
The collection written knowledge in some sort of repository is a practice as old as civilization itself. About 30,000 clay tablets found in ancient Mesopotamia date back more than 5,000 years. Archaelogists have uncovered papyrus scrolls from 1300-1200bc in the ancient Egyptian cities of Amarna and Thebes and thousands of clay tablets in the palace of King Sennacherib, Assyrian ruler from 704-681bc, at Nineveh, his capital city. More evidence turned up with the discovery of the personal collection of Sennacherib’s grandson, King Ashurbanipal.
The Great Library of Alexandria, a public library open to those with the proper scholarly and literary qualifications, founded about 300bc. When Egypt’s King Ptolemy I (305-282bc) asked, “How many scrolls do we have?”, Aristotle’s disciple Demetrius of Phalerum was on hand to answer with the latest count. After all, it was Demetrius who suggested setting up a universal library to hold copies of all the books in the world. Ptolemy and his successors wanted to understand the people under their rule and house Latin, Buddhist, Persian, Hebrew, and Egyptian works – translated into Greek.
So its on Ninevah by the Assyrians

Are the effects of globalization better for developed countries or developing countries?~Support your answer with historical evidence~

[ad_1]

The correct answer is D. They have created instability by carrying out attacks and political uprisings.

Several radical Islamist groups have accumulated great power in the Middle East during the last decades.

Islamism comprehend a wide range of political ideologies that seek to adapt public and political life to the precepts of Islam, or at least to their interpretations of what those precepts are. Many radical Islamist groups tend to do so by any mean, even using violence and terror against Muslim and non-Muslim populations. The largest attack in the West by one of these terrorist groups, Al-Qaeda, was the attack against the World Trade Center in 2001.

After this event, the United States declared the war against terrorism and started the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, in order to overthrow the Taliban regime. Two years later the war of Iraq took place, its objective was to overthrow the regime of Saddam Hussein, which was not Islamist but anti-American. This goal was accomplished, but it created a vacuum of power in Iraq, which was taken as an advantage by radical Islamist groups that spread all over Iraq.

With the instability that took over Syria after the Arab Spring, many of these groups entered in Syria from Iraq and deepened the ongoing civil war. In 2014 a new radical Islamist group that nucleated many others declared an Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) as the Caliphate of all Muslims. This terrorist group tends to expand its frontiers and committed many atrocities since then.

Other radical Islamist groups are implicated in ongoing conflicts and recurrent attacks in Yemen, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, and Libya. Many of the political uprisings of the Arab Spring were supported by Islamist (not necessarily terrorist/radical) groups and parties, like the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

30’s broke down and ran to the bathroom.
He locked himself into a stall, turned around with his back to the door
and slowly slid down the stall to the tile floors.  He softly muttered things like ‘What am I
going to do?’ and ‘Why is this happening?’
Just as he started to sob, he heard the door to the bathroom open to
allow someone in and close behind them.  “Ben,
Benjamin, is that you?” the male voice spoke out softly as to follow the crying
man’s tone.  Benjamin realizes that it
had been his coworker who he had somewhat of a friendship with who had entered,
so he decided to come out of the stall and face his friend.  As soon as he sees the state he is in he
quickly grabs Benjamin, and hugs him tightly “We are going to get through this,

in the middle of the bathroom, but he didn’t even care what they thought
because right now Benjamin had more to worry about than coworkers.

Use cliche in a sentence that you create

Meisie was upset that she scored poorly on her test, she continuously recounted her experience of taking the test with added mutters of ‘I could have reread that with more observation’ or ‘How did I forget that?’  But her mother reassures her that when it’s all said and done, at the end of the day she will have learned and grown from her bitter experience.

I wrote the cliche in bold.  Also that turned out to be a tad long, so here is a short and sweet one if you feel my first example was too lengthy.

After the students finished their test, all the children said the test was easy as pie.

He was most fifty, and he looked it. his hair was long and tangled and greasy, and hung down, and you could see his eyes shining through like he was behind vines. it was all black, no gray; so was his long, mixed-up whiskers. there warn’t no color in his face, where his face showed; it was white; not like another man’s white, but a white to make a body sick, a white to make a body’s flesh crawl—a tree-toad white, a fish-belly white. as for his clothes—just rags, that was all. he had one ankle resting on t’other knee; the boot on that foot was busted, and two of his toes stuck through, and he worked them now and then. his hat was laying on the floor—an old black slouch with the top caved in, like a lid. which best describes the effect of the narration

Answer:

It helps the reader see Huck’s father through Huck’s eyes.

Explanation:

Huck lived with an aunt and had an evil alcoholic father, a threat to him. He did not see his father with good eyes, but with a hideous and frightening appearance. For this reason, narration is so important in describing Huck’s father.

The narration describes Huck’s father the way Huck sees him, it helps the reader imagine a frightening and morbid human. This helps the reader better understand Huck’s relationship with his father, and makes the reader fear the character as much as Huck.
