Linda undertakes sales training at a successful apparel manufacturing company and gets a promotion. it has been recently brought to her notice that sales have drastically dropped due to the inability of frontline sales personnel to handle customer queries at the company’s retail outlets. linda should:

The Contribution Margin per unit (CM) can be calculated
from the difference of Selling Price per unit (SP) and Total Expenses per unit
(TE).

First, let’s calculate the value of SP:

SP = Sales / Units sold

SP = $1,043,400 / 22,200 units sold

SP = $47

Second, calculate all expenses:

Direct materials per unit = $234,948 / 27,970 units
manufactured = $8.4

Direct labor per unit = $131,459 / 27,970 units
manufactured = $4.7

Variable manufacturing overhead per unit = $240,542 / 27,970
units manufactured = $8.6

Variable selling expenses per unit = $113,220 / 22,200
units sold = $5.1

TE = $26.8

Therefore the CM is:

CM = SP – TE

CM = $47 – $26.8

CM = $20.2 per unit

Read the fable and determine its theme. In a paragraph of three to five sentences, use evidence from the story to support your identified theme. A Shepherd Boy was tending his flock near a village, and thought it would be great fun to hoax the villagers by pretending that a Wolf was attacking the sheep. So, he shouted out, “Wolf! Wolf!” and when the people came running up he laughed at them for their pains. He did this more than once, and every time the villagers found they had been hoaxed, for there was no Wolf at all. At last a Wolf really did come, and the Boy cried, “Wolf! Wolf!” as loud as he could, but the people were so used to hearing him call that they took no notice of his cries for help.

Hey there!

Correct answer is D. Comma or Period Inside Rule

A. Question mark or exclamation point inside: those are not really necessary.

B. Colon or semicolon: not, a semicolon would divide the whole sentence and it would be shorten; a colon would work but after requested, when there is already a comma.

C. Question mark or Exclamation Point Outside Rule: would not work, becase it is an very polite and affirmative sentence.

D: A comma or period inside rule: actually, just a comma would work. Please, Cooper’s dad requested, go… Cooper’s dad requested must be in between commas as it is a vocative.

Hope this helps

A U.S. citizen is being sued. He has the right to receive notice of the lawsuit before going to court. What kind of right is this?

“Governments are given their power by the people” referring to a Social Contract. For the second answer, I used process of elimination. Oligarchy is not commonly used as a central government nor as a way to control citizens so it isn’t that option. The next one is against pretty much every enlightenment thinker’s ideas so that isn’t it. The very last answer also goes against everything Enlightenment thinkers stood for.
Because of those reasons, the answers should be:
Governments are given their power by the people
and, People have the right to change their government.

When taking a patient’s blood pressure why is it important to notice?

Sample Response: The short-term effects that alcohol has on the cardiovascular system depends on how much alcohol is consumed. Low consumption of alcohol increases one’s heart rate and blood pressure. However, high consumption decreases one’s heart rate and blood pressure and can cause heart rhythms to become irregular. Long-term effects of alcohol include high blood pressure, enlarged heart, and damage to heart muscles. Two preventive measures people could take to avoid these effects are to abstain from drinking alcohol or minimizing the amount of alcohol one drinks.

Answer:

Marullus shows in this passage a tone of worry and alarm. It seems that he is struck with a sort of panic at Caesar’s return after he defeated his rival and former co-ruler Pompey. Marullus knew that this military win would decide that Caesar would be the most powerful person in all of Rome. As a result of this known fact, Marullus felt in a very dangerous position; he felt threatened.

His threatened state is especially evident as he states, “You blocks, you stones, you worse than senseless things!/O you hard hearts, you cruel men of Rome,/Knew you not Pompey?” In this quote specifically, he is exasperated as he explains that he is reminiscent Pompey’s co-rule and that he has great worry for the future of Rome. He understood that Caesar would soon impose one-man rule, meaning Marullus would lose his power in Roman government and politics. Marullus joins Flavius who feels similarly threatened to try and put a stop to Caesar’s rise to monarchy.

It is clear that the interpretation the painter has depicted is very different. When one compares the painting to the word that Marullus himself used to describe the return of Caesar, it is clear that the two are disparate in tone and mood. In the painting, it seems as though Marullus is impressed by Caesar’s feat. Oppositely, in Shakespeare’s play, perhaps in a quest to write something dramatic and interesting to audiences, Marullus’s reaction was shown more in terms of panic and fear.

Answer:

I believe the best answer to be “Andy squinted in the darkness and walked headlong into the rain.”

Explanation:

Every option offered makes it clear that it is raining. However, the question has asked us to find the one that shows it is a dark and stormy night through action. That is precisely what the third option does:

Andy squinted in the darkness and walked headlong into the rain.

The action of squinting makes it clear that darkness surrounds Andy. The night is not only dark, though, but also stormy, since Andy walks headlong into the rain. The verbs “squint” and “walk”, combined with the nouns “darkness” and “rain” express, through action, that it is a dark and stormy night.

Microscopes help define the human view of the inhabitants of Mars. Minds across the universe have been plotting to destroy humanity

The correct answer is A. …we all share the same air, water, and soil

Explanation:

A fact is mainly a statement that is objective, connected to the reality and can be proved using evidence, this means a fact is always true and does not depend on the personal perspective of someone. The sentence “we all share the same air, water, and soil” is more likely to be a fact as it can be proved as water, air and soil are resources or substances that exists all around the Earth and in the case of water and air flow without being controlled in all places around the world, which means in some way these substances and resources are shared by people all around the world, also this occurs all the time, there is evidence to support it is true and does not depend on people perspectives neither express people point of view, which makes this sentence from “The Girl Who Silenced the World for Five Minutes” a fact.
