On December 15, 1791, the Bill of Rights (the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution) were ratified by the states.

The Bill of Rights were added to the Constitution to address fears raised by the Anti-Federalists during the ratification of the Constitution that the Constitution did not provide sufficient protection against abuses of power by the federal government.

James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, originally did not think a Bill of Rights was necessary. He thought the Constitution gave no power to the federal government that would allow for a violation of the rights of the people.

Madison later changed his position, persuaded mainly by Thomas Jefferson, and, with the help of others, drafted twenty amendments that were proposed to the first United States Congress in 1789.

Twelve of the proposed amendments were accepted by Congress and were then sent to the states for ratification. Only ten were ratified.

These ten amendments list our basic rights and place limits on the federal government. They include the freedoms of speech and religion, the right to bear arms, the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures, and an assurance that the powers not delegated to the federal government in the Constitution are reserved to the states and the people. Many of these provisions were based upon similar protections provided by state constitutions that limited the power of state and local government authorities.

Of the remaining amendments that were not ratified in 1791, one was later adopted in 1992 as the twenty-seventh amendment to the Constitution. That amendment prevents changes in the compensation for senators and representatives until after a subsequent election of representatives. The other proposed amendment has never been adopted.

The Bill of Rights illustrates that our Founders understood that for personal freedoms to be broad, the power of the federal government must be limited.

Our nation, however, has moved away from its founding principles, especially during recent decades. Our ever-growing federal government is intervening into more and more aspects of our lives, especially through bureaucratic regulations, and is reducing our personal freedoms in the process.

Government at all levels is doing more and more things that were once left to private individuals and groups, and the federal government is doing more and more things that were once the province of state and local governments, where greater accountability to the public is often possible.

One need only look at the HHS mandate—forcing employers to violate their religious beliefs, under pain of penalty, by paying for and providing abortion pill insurance coverage—to see the harm caused by an overreaching government.

The preservation of our liberties is a daily battle, something our Founders understood. The process of scaling back the size and role of government and returning limits to it is a long one. But, since the federal government is supposed to be our servant and not our master, no one should doubt the importance of this endeavor.

**Answer: **A) It creates images of freedom.

**Explanation: **figurative language is the use of words or expressions to convey a meaning that is different from the literal interpretation. It can be expressed through metaphors, similes, personifications, allusions, etc. In the given passage from “The Caged Bird” we can see examples of figurative language like “dips his wing in the orange sun rays and dares to claim the sky” that creates images of freedom.

Some people disagree with using agent orange during the Vietnam war because the agent was dangerous and had adverse effects on both the enemy and the American troops. Agent orange was a powerful chemical used for defoliation during the Vietnam war to eliminate forest cover. It was later discovered that the chemical caused serious health issues for the service men, their families as well as the enemy. Health issues experienced include: birth defects, tumors, rashes, cancer, etc.

There’s nothing that I dreamt of more,

Than to jump aboard a great big ship,

A telescope, a map, a sword, by my hip,

To feel the sea breeze in my hair,

To stroke my parrot on the wood chair,

To be bold and brave and happy as can be,

To trek and travel and sail the seven seas.

8 lines. Rhyme scheme aabbccdd. If I managed to write that in about 4 minutes, you could write something much better and longer in like 30 minutes. You can use my rubbish poem as inspiration lol. Good luck X

So, the number of ways is which 30 competitors from 50 can qualify is given by the formula of combinations, which is:

C (m,n) = m! / (n! * (m -n)! )

=> C (50,30) = 50! / (30! (50 – 30)! ) = (50!) / [30! (50 – 30)!] = 50! / [30! 20!] =

= **47,129,212,243,960 different ways the qualifiying round of 30 competitors can be selected from the 50 competitors.**

**Answer:**

**The total cost of the rocks needed for the border is $538.80.**

**Step-by-step explanation:**

The length of the lawn is = 150 feet

The width of the lawn is = 80 feet

The gravel border will be 6 feet wide from all sides.

So, bigger rectangle will have length = feet

And width will be = feet

Area of the bigger rectangle = square feet

Area of the smaller rectangle = square feet

**So, area of the gravel area will be = square feet.**

Now depth of gravel is 2 inches. So, volume will be area of gravel times depth.

We will convert 2 inches in feet.

12 inches = 1 feet

So, 2 inches = feet

cubic feet

1 cubic foot = 0.037037 cubic yard

So, 484.97 cubic feet = cubic yards

Now cost of gravel per cubic yard is $30.

So, total cost will be = dollars

**Therefore, the total cost of the rocks needed for the border is $538.80.**

Please find attached the diagram of the lawn.

**Answer:**

The answer is **1**

**Step-by-step explanation:**

In order to **complete **the square, you have to know the rule for expanding a square of a binomial.

The rule says:

Let a square of a binomial in general

The square of any binomial produces the following three terms:

1. The *square of the first term* of the binomial:

2. *Twice the product* of the two terms:

3. *The square of the second term*:

So, the **expand **of a square of a binomial is:

Therefore, we should think which of the three terms mentioned before **it is absent.**

1. First term is

2. Second term is

3. Third term **must be ** because it is the **unique **number which multiplying by results in

Finally, adding **1** in both side of the equation:

Health-related fitness components are those that keep you strong for everyday life. They are for keeping you healthy too. You usually run at least once everyday, and you need health-related fitness. Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Cardiovascular Endurance, Flexibility, Body Composition are all the 5 components which we use everyday and are most commonly heard. However, performance related fitness is your performance in a specific thing such as a sport. Your reaction, sometimes flexibility, speed, strength, and balance are most used in sports. But without learning health, and maintaining it, (flexibility, strength) you can not do these sports.

### Further Explanation

**One variable linear equation** is an equation that has a variable and the exponent number is one.

**Can be stated in the form: **

or

ax + b = c, where a, b, and c are constants, x is a variable

Whereas** the two-variable linear equation** is a linear equation that has 2 variables and the exponent is one

**Can be stated in the form:**

x, y = variable

Let x = cups of concentrate

w = cups of water

Jackie used 5 times as much water as concentrate.

If we translate this sentence into equation:

w = 5x .. equation 1

There were 32 more cups of water than concentrate.

If we translate this sentence into equation:

w = 32+x .. equation 2

We can make a comparison from equation 1 and 2

so x = concentrate = 8 cups

then water :

**water = 40 cups**

Total juice she can make :

= 40 + 8 cups

= 48 cups

Ans.

Circulatory system can be defined as the body system that transports nutrients, carbon dioxide, oxygen and other substances to the various body tissues and organs through bloodstream.

**It involves** **pulmonary circulation and systemic circulation. **During pulmonary circulation,** **deoxygenated blood from all of the body to heart, from where blood travels to lungs and becomes oxygenated. During systemic circulation, heart provides oxygenated blood to rest of the body.

**The largest pulmonary artery (also known as pulmonary trunk) is responsible for the blood flow to the lungs away from the right side of heart. **

Thus, the correct answer is **option). ‘blood travels away from the heart via the pulmonary trunk.’**
