Marie Tyndall is a student in the Jackson Heights Community College Medical Assisting Program. She and two other classmates have been assigned the project of creating a plan for cleaning up spills that might occur in the classroom laboratory and ensuring that all students using the laboratory have been trained in the proper procedure. Questions: 1.What materials would her group need? Describes these materials and how they would be used. 2. How would her group go about learning the proper steps in the clean-up process? 3. How would her group ensure that all other students in the laboratory also have the proper training?

[ad_1]

Answered by answersmine AT 22/10/2019 – 03:37 AM

1. The group of students will need a computer and printer, and the most necessary part is to follow the rules of the OSHA regulations for cleaning up spills. At first they should design the procedure and its structure. Then they have to create a checklist of students that must receive the training. The students can elaborate their work by creating a PowerPoint presentation as it is very convenient for a group working. The students can divide into groups  to divide their responsibilities and each group would need a prepackaged spill clean-up kit or supplies to create their own kit, a three-ring binder, a few tabs for the binder and access to the OSHA  regulations on the computers.
2. The way how the group can go about learning the proper steps in the clean-up process is to study the needed information in the textbook. They also can make a small research using the Internet but the most important step is to interview medical personnel in a local medical laboratory in order to make sure that the information that was taken from web is actually useful.
3. The way how the group can ensure that all other students in the laboratory also have the proper training is to create a check-off document which will make sure that all the steps are followed properly. At the end of the procedure, the leader of the group must ask the students to show how they  clean up a spill to check whether all the students understood the information.

Down under boomerang, inc., is considering a new three-year expansion project that requires an initial fixed asset investment of $2.64 million. the fixed asset will be depreciated straight-line to zero over its three-year tax life, after which time it will be worthless. the project is estimated to generate $2,060,000 in annual sales, with costs of $755,000. the tax rate is 35 percent and the required return on the project is 13 percent. what is the project’s npv?

[ad_1]

To answer this problem, 1st let us calculate
the total annual cash flow.

We define the given variables:

Annual Income = $2,060,000

Annual Cost = $755,000

Annual Profit = $2,060,000 – $755,000 = $1,305,000

Annual Tax = $1,305,000 * 0.35 = $456,750

Depreciation = $2.64 million / 3 = $880,000

Savings from Depreciation = $880,000 * 0.35 = $308,000

Therefore,

Annual Cash Flow = Annual Profit + Savings from
Depreciation

Annual Cash Flow = $1,305,000 + $308,000

Annual Cash Flow = $1,613,000

The present value of annuity is:

P = A [1 – (1 + i)^-n ] / i

P = $1,613,000 [1 – (1 + 0.13)^(-3)] / 0.13

P =
$3,808,539.14 = NPV

According to MLA style what must you include at the end of any writing project that contains research

[ad_1]

Here are a few pointers; hope this is useful)

Ovation-by definition- is show of appreciation from an audience, for a person’s accomplishments or flaw.

“Everyone deserves a standing ovation because we all overcometh the world.”

A person’s accomplishment could be how they made a positive change in this world, strong leadership- that makes them a effective leader or simply helping others. A person’s flaw- mistakes in life, sin or even guilt should also be considered an appreciation- an ovation for representing mankind’s flaw and that humanity makes mistakes, fulfilling at least one deadly sin such as greed, lust, selfishness etc.

Thus, regardless of a person’s achievement or flaw- a person deserves an applause for, not the least, living in this society and this world that we are all living together and dying together.

That was just the introduction.. the best part is yet to come.. now it’s your turn!!

Here are other pointers to talk about in your essay:

Shakespeare’s famous line “All the World’s a stage. That agrees with your line: “Everybody deserves a standing ovation…”

Shakespeare explains that men and women are like players: they live, and die, some being celebrated and some forever living in solitude till their death. Shakespeare states the world is a “stage” which symbolizes that mankind is in its peak. The world is changing everyday: little by little and humanity is falling behind.
Due to our world turning into machinery: factories, an automotive future: where humans only job to live (entrance) and to die (exit) the famous humans remembered and the flawed not recalled.

This is according to Shakespeare’s imagery.

I don’t know what grade your in, but I think simplifying Shakespeare’s word of mouth in your essay would be handy and useful as it has strong references of your quote, and agrees strongly in your essay.

Hope this helps 🙂

Answer:    Joshua is correct

Explanation:  Animals, however well preserved and bred in conditions that are not in nature, that is, not in their natural habitat, animals still retain the animal instinct. Thus, young animals in the wild can be met daily, except for members of their species, and members of all other species, including predators, as well as humans. This means that in the natural environment, young animals can find themselves in a variety of dangers on a daily basis, but not only that. In this way young animals develop their ability to survive, escape from predators, manage, and develop their hunting skills, etc. All this is essential for socialization because according to all these developed skills and abilities their socialization depends. To deny any of the conditions prevailing in the wild means to deny the development of any skill or instinct, to deny proper socialization.

The Reformation actually started after Columbus’s landing in North America.

Treaty of Tordesillas in 1494 was forced on Spain and Portugal by the Pope. The Pope basically said that all lands in the New World belonged to Spain and all new non-Christian lands in the Eastern Hemisphere belong to Portugal. No other Catholic countries can do anything in those areas without the approval of the owner.

The pope basically drew two lines on the globe setting the border. The western line started at the north pole cut half way through Greenland and ended at the south pole. The new world was everything to the west. Problem is that it ran through a chunk of Brazil which is why Brazil is an ex-Portuguese colony.

The Eastern line starts at the North Pole runs through siberia, through the pacific just west of Japan, and cuts Australia in half. Of course, Australia hadn’t been discovered yet. Everything to the the east of this line is the new world.

Obviously, this treaty didn’t hold up well, but the reformation gave the protestant countries an excuse to explore the new world since they didn’t have to take orders from the Pope. Even so, France, a catholic country, ignored it too.

Really, the only country that was effected by the reformation in the exploration of the Americas was England. All the other countries, changed their religion once and then went to war with the nearest catholic country. Sweden became Lutheran and stayed that way. The Dutch Republic became Calvinists and stayed that way.

England kept switching. First it was Catholic. Then, Henry VIII made it protestant. Then, Henry’s daughter Mary I made it catholic again. Henry’s other daughter Elizabeth I (with the two hit movies) made it Protestant again.

Years latter, Oliver Cromwell over through the monarchy, executed the King Charles I, and established a Protestant fundamentalist religious military dictatorship. He outlawed drinking,smoking, gambling, theater, dirty books, sports, prostitution, and anything generally fun. He would have made Saudi Arabia proud. Basically, all you could do is work, pray, and die. Sex was allowed for creating children, but you couldn’t enjoy it.

When Cromwell died, the people of England said enough was enough and brought back the King. Charles II kicked out the fundamentalists and brought back drinking, smoking, gambling, dirty books, sports, prostitution, and having fun during sex. Incidentally, those were also all his hobbies.

This brings us to the famous Pilgrims. They were part of Cromwell’s crowd. They kept agitating a return to the no-fun policy. They annoyed everybody. They weren’t persecuted for practicing their religion, they were persecuted because they kept trying to force their religion on everyone else. Sort of like Southern Baptists.

Charles II was the most easy going monarch in British history. Do realize how annoying you have to be to get him to throw you out.

Charles’s brother James II was obsessed with turning Great Britain catholic again. After four years of trying, they kicked him and his followers out.

We can let t represent the number of months that have passed. Let’s observe first what happens with number of birds and trees for the first 3 months to better understand the function that we’ll create.

For the birds in the aviary, since the number decreases by 7%, for the first month it will have  93% of the original number. For the second month, the number of birds left will be 93% of what was left from the first month as shown below.

1st month | B(1) = 0.93(975)
2nd month| B(2) = 0.93[0.93(975)] = 0.93²(975)
3rd month| B(3) = 0.93[0.93²(975)] = 0.93³(975)

From this, we can see where the pattern is going and conclude that after t months, there will be B(t) = 0.93ᵗ(975) birds present.

We’ll use the same approach to estimate the number of trees after t months in the aviary.

T(1) = 350 – 7
T(2) = 350 – 7 – 7 = 350 – 2(7)
T(3) = 350 – 2(7) – 7 = 350 – 3(7)
and hence,
T(t) = 350 – 7t
Thus, we have the functions for the birds and trees throughout t months.

We can now compute for the number of birds and trees present after 12 months by simply substituting 12 into our equations as shown below.

B(12) = 0.93¹²(975) = 408.13 ≈ 408
T(12) = 350 – 12(7) =  266

Hence, from this we can see that there are approximately 408 birds and 266 trees present in the aviary after 12 months.

To find the number months when there are almost the same number of trees and birds present, we can equate T(t) to B(t) and solve for the value of t. Using the graphical method, we can also find the intersection points between the two functions.

350 – 7t = 0.93ᵗ(975)

We have intersection points at around 22.21 and 44.4781. Approximating these values to whole numbers, we have 22 and 44 months.

Answers:

Part A: B(t) = 0.93ᵗ(975) and T(t) = 350 – 7t
Part B: 408 birds and 266 trees
Part C: 22 and 44 months

Which statement best summarizes the lasting importance of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project?

[ad_1]

The correct answer is A.

This passage is part of the reasoning included in the landmark decision reached by the US Supreme Court in Brown v. Board of Education in 1954. The enactment of this decision meant the end of segregation in public schools in the US and declared unconstitutional the “separate but equal” lemma that had governed the system.

Segregation had been considered constitutional under the lemma, as it was believed that the provision of rights guaranteed by the First Amendment was guaranteed for every US kid, as long as the educational facilities were equal in terms of quality, no matter whether white and black children were separated or not.

The decision reached in Brown v. Board of Education overturned the previous convictions, providing the justifications contained in the passage provided in this question, and declared segregation to be unconstitutional and urged schools to remove such system.

There came other atom models: Thompson’s
model, Rutherford’s model, Bohr’s model… and finally, Schrödinger’s theory.

Besides, keep
in mind that:

-When an atom
loses an electron, that electron has to end up in another atom, and then you
have cations and anions… and a cation always has to be near an anion… so they
are sort of keeping an eye on their missing electrons.
-The only situation
where we find isolated neutrons is during nuclear reactions… and remember those
are dangerous chain reactions! The atomic bomb is an example of that.
-We can have
isolated protons and we call them H+ – so it works as any other cation. You can
find H+ in water, where we also have OH-.

Let’s talk
about Thompson’s model: They call it the “plum pudding”. It consisted on a large positive charge (the pudding) filled
with little negative charges (the plums).

And this is Rutherford’s
model: He found out negative charges (electrons) were actually spinning around
the positive nucleus. But he didn’t say anything about the shapes or sizes of
their orbits.

Then you have
the Bohr’s model, also known as the planetary model. Bohr said that there are
smaller orbits, closer to the nucleus, and larger orbits, in the outer part of
the atom, and did propose a lot of detail about the orbits. But it still wasn’t
enough accurate.

Schrödinger’s
focused on finding more details about where in the atom you can find each
electron, its velocity, its momentum, etc.

Answer:

The y-coordinate of the fourth vertex is j.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, the diagonals of parallelogram bisect each othe,

That is, the midpoint of one diagonal = the midpoint of the other diagonal,

Here, the consecutive vertices are (h, j), (0, 0), and (k, 0), where h > 0,

Let (x,y) are the coordinates of fourth vertex,

⇒ Midpoint of coordinates (h, j) and (k, 0) = Midpoint of coordinate (0,0) and (x,y)

implies (frac{h+k}{2}, frac{j+0}{2})=(frac{0+x}{2},frac{0+y}{2})

By comparing the y-coordinates,

frac{j+0}{2}=frac{0+y}{2}

implies y=j

Hence, the y-coordinate of the fourth vertex is j.

Second option is correct.

I guess this also depends on what the “Advanced Reading Skills” lessons talks about, but don’t think of it as “really hard”! Work on one word, one phrase, one sentence, and you’ll start making progress. =)

In general, when translating, the first thing you’ll have to do is to understand the paragraph, but you’re right, this isn’t that easy a paragraph to translate. You could use an English dictionary, or a bilingual dictionary (http://www.nciku.comis good for English-Chinese) to help you. While you’re doing this, try to pick out important words and translate them first, and see if you could understand what each sentence means.

Sometimes, words may have multiple meanings or be used as metaphors – for example, “amputated” means “having been cut off”, but in your 2nd sentence, it means that the poet should not be condemned and criticised to the point where he is treated as having no value.

Finally, after you’ve translated the text, don’t forget to read it to check if it makes sense in the language you’re using – and if it makes for smooth reading!

The university took a phone survey of 3421 students about tuition. Of the students surveyed 2004 of those students believed that tuition was too high. What is a good prediction of how many students think tuition is too high if there are over 25,000 students at the university? A. 13,645 students B. 12,645 students C. 14,645 students D. 17,645 students

Answer:

C. 14,645 students

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number of students who think tuition is too high if there are over 25,000 students at the university,

So, the ratio of students who think tuition is too high and total student = frac{x}{25000}

Given,

Out of 3421 students, 2004 think tuition is too high,

Thus, the ratio of students who think tuition is too high and total student = frac{2004}{3421}

implies frac{x}{25000}=frac{2004}{3421}

By cross multiplication,

3421x=2004times 25000

x=frac{50100000}{3421}=14644.8406899approx 14645

Hence, the predicted number of students who think tuition is too high is 14,645.

Option ‘C’ is correct.

Is the following conditional true or false? If it is true, explain why. If it is false, give a counterexample. If it is snowing in Dallas, Texas, then it is snowing in the United States.

Based on the given statement above, the conditional would be FALSE. A conditional statement is an if-then statement which makes “if” as the hypothesis and “then” is the conclusion, but not all conditional statements are true. Based on the truth table, “snowing in Dallas’ Texas” is considered true, but “then it is snowing in the United States” is False, which makes this statement FALSE.
The counterexample for this would be: IF IT IS SNOWING IN THE UNITED STATES, THEN IT IS SNOWING IN DALLAS, TEXAS.

This study guide has been written for students and their teachers in
KS3 and KS4 in the UK but may be suitable for students elsewhere. The
guide suggests ways of responding to Jonathan Swift’s pamphlet A Modest
Proposal for preventing the children of poor people in Ireland, from
being a burden on their parents or country, and for making them
beneficial to the public. Read the text thoroughly – perhaps with some
help from a teacher, and attempt one of the tasks described on this
guide – or agree some other task with your teacher.

If you wish to
work traditionally these activities can be done in an exercise book, or
as a booklet using your own skills in illustration and writing. If you
wish to use computer software for your work, this is quite appropriate.
The tasks may work well as speaking and listening activities; you are
encouraged to present these “live” or make use of tape-recording or
multi-media software recording to show your work. In such cases, where
the guide refers to writing, you may respond by speaking.

Answer: The temperature also get doubled.

Explanation:

Charles’ Law: This law states that volume is directly proportional to the temperature of the gas at constant pressure and number of moles.

Vpropto T    (At constant pressure and number of moles)

frac{V_1}{T_1}=frac{V_2}{T_2}

where,

V_1 = initial volume of gas = v

V_2 = final volume of gas = 2v

T_1 = initial temperature of gas = t

T_2 = final temperature of gas = ?

Now put all the given values in the above equation, we get the final pressure of gas.

frac{v}{t}=frac{2v}{T_2}

T_2=2t

Therefore, the temperature of the gas of will be twice of initial temperature.

Project Management In Sustainable Development

Introduction

Project management is that kind of study that manages and maintains the study in an organization in terms of keeping the workings in an effective way in the organization. Undertaking management is the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and last the work of a group to gain particular desires and meet precise success standards at the required time. A mission is a temporary undertaking designed to produce a unique product, carrier or result with a described beginning and quit (usually time-confined, and regularly restricted with the aid of funding or staffing) undertaken to meet unique goals and targets, commonly to result in beneficial trade or brought value.

The transient nature of initiatives stands in assessment with enterprise as typical (or operations), that are repetitive, permanent, or semi-permanent functional activities to produce products or services. In exercise, the management of such distinct production processes calls for the improvement of awesome technical competencies and control strategies. The primary challenge of project control is to gain all of the venture dreams in the given constraints. This statistics is usually described in undertaking documentation, created at the start of the improvement method. The number one constraints are scope, time, satisfactory and finances.

Project Management and Sustainable Development

The secondary and more ambitious venture is to optimize the allocation of important inputs and practice them to meet pre-defined targets. The object of undertaking control is to produce a entire venture which complies with the purchaser’s goals. In many instances the object of mission management is likewise to shape or reform the client’s brief in an effort to feasibly be capable of address the customer’s objectives. once the patron’s targets are clearly established they need to effect on all selections made via other humans worried within the mission  project managers, designers, contractors, sub-contractors, etc. If the project control goals are ill-defined or too tightly prescribed it will have a negative effect on choice making. There are some of procedures to organizing and completing mission sports, which include phased, lean, iterative, and incremental. There also are numerous extensions to undertaking planning, for example, primarily based on effects (product-based totally) or activities (manner-primarily based). In 2017 observe cautioned that the achievement of any project relies upon on how nicely 4 key aspects are aligned with the contextual dynamics affecting the undertaking, these are referred to as the 4 P’s:

Plan: The planning and forecasting sports.

The Process: the overall method to all activities and challenge governance.

People: and the dynamics of how they collaborate and communicate.

Power: tasks are which describes all strains of authority, decision-makers, organograms, guidelines for implementation and the likes.

There are a number of procedures to organizing and finishing venture activities, consisting of phased, lean, iterative, and plenty of industries use versions of these venture tiers and it isn’t uncommon for the stages to be renamed for you to higher suit the organization. for instance, while running on a brick-and-mortar layout and construction, projects will commonly development thru degrees like pre-planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design improvement, creation drawings (or settlement files), and construction administration.

While the phased method works properly for small, properly-described initiatives, it often results in venture or failure on large initiatives, or the ones which are more complicated or have greater ambiguities, issues, and chances as a must.

Sustainability is a important business awareness, and sustainable assignment management calls for searching at tasks in a whole new manner. For too lengthy, task managers have labored on their projects as though they had been islands, unrelated to organizational method and governance and unrelated to the network at big. Setting project control in an appropriate strategic context facilitates venture managers and teams make the right choices for his or her projects, for his or her employer, and for society at huge. Mission managers want to be fiscally sustainable they manage time and price range as well as socially and environmentally sustainable they control assets.

However, sustainability isn’t pretty much being “green,” and being aware of our impact on the environment. We additionally want to evaluate the risks associated with labor practices, human rights, truthful commercial enterprise dealings, and consumer troubles. Learn how to combine sustainability into your own undertaking control practices and manual your enterprise closer to sustainability. One task supervisor could make a distinction. Businesses create social and societal influences, both high quality and bad, thru the each day operations in their price chain. Agencies and the societies they operate in are already intertwined. Societies need companies to give their people employment and infrastructure, and organizations want healthful societies to offer a capable body of workers.

At the same time as society seems, in lots of cases, to the corporate world as opposed to the government for the provision of employment and infrastructure (now not to mention items and services), it’s miles simplest a healthy society that can create the forms of productive employees that every business enterprise seeks to hire. The mutual dependence of companies and society demonstrates that commercial enterprise selections should comply with the principle of shared value.

Alternatives should benefit each fact Stakeholders shareholders, providers, clients, partners, regulators, activists, exertions unions, employees, network contributors, and government expect companies to be responsible no longer only for their personal performance but for the performance of their complete supply chain and for an evolving set of sustainability troubles. But, sustainability isn’t only a obligation. it is an opportunity to harness human creativity and find out progressive ways to defend and decorate our shared surroundings, recognize, and empower each person and construct enduring wealth.

Lots of the world has reached the stage wherein right laws are in place, however, poor enforcement exists for the one’s legal guidelines. Poor enforcement has its roots in corruption and susceptible establishments, and poor governance perpetuates poverty. Sustainability programs try to bridge the gap between which legal guidelines are in an area and enforced, and fundamental basics of excellent enterprise practice, such as avoidance of exploitative practices and complete transparency. This interprets to be capable of investigating dangers more successfully and become more proactive in dealing with these dangers.

As an end result, sustainability not most effective becomes an important value for corporations, but it is fast becoming included in the enterprise desires and targets of agencies. in order for companies to achieve success in the future, they have to don’t forget social, environmental and deliver problems wherever they function, and in many cases, anywhere their suppliers and their clients perform. It is no longer taken into consideration fine to simply spin off a foundation, or spend money on a simple green initiative. Organizations are putting competitive dreams to grow commercial enterprise from “green” products and services. Governments are putting a long way the greater emphasis on the implications in their actions, both to the surroundings or to the integrated issues in their societies.

An awesome majority of company CEOs (ninety-three %) say that sustainability can be essential to the future fulfillment of their organizations. moreover, CEOs agree with that, within a decade, a tipping point could be reached that absolutely meshes sustainability with middle business its competencies, procedures, and structures, and in the course of worldwide supply chains and subsidiaries

Research Question

Is project management helpful in maintenance of sustainably in the atmosphere?

Relationship Between Sustainability And Project Development

This question has the great effect in terms of making the project management successful in implementing sustainability in it. The sustainability should be focused in a sense of admiring it as an essential part of life for the people to live effectively in such a way that it keeps the environment clean and healthy as well. For businesses to become sustainable, they must be sensitive to the sustainability of the environment and society in which business is conducted. By acting in advance of mandates for change, such as government regulations or legislation, they avoid risks to their reputation and can gain strategic competitive advantage over their rivals. Also, it’s worth noting that working on societal problems related to the business can help spark innovative thinking by exposing employees to new ideas and perspectives.

An organization’s focus on sustainability results in improved corporate reputation, higher brand equity, better risk management, and increased access to capital, and is vital to attracting and retaining top talent. The transient person of tasks may additionally seem to contradict the lengthy-term orientation of sustainability. But, tasks help firms recognize long-term funding objectives. Projects and assignment control takes place in an environment this is broader than that of the project itself. expertise the framework wherein the venture takes location enables make sure that paintings is achieved in alignment with the desires of the organization and controlled in accordance with the mounted practice methodologies of the enterprise.

Regardless of the approaches tasks had been controlled within the past, undertaking management does now not manifest in a vacuum. All initiatives take region inside a strategic context, and there is each inner and outside environmental element that surrounds or impact a challenge’s fulfillment. Those elements may decorate or constrain undertaking management options and can have a tremendous or negative impact at the final results (showcase 1). In an awful lot the same way that a venture supervisor need to balance price, schedule, and scope, there are tradeoffs that need to be made among the monetary, social, and environmental factors surrounding an undertaking.
