The average person falls asleep in seven minutes, but I couldn’t sleep, not after hours, and it made my boots lighter to be around his things, and to touch stuff that he had touched, and to make the hangers hang a little straighter, even though I knew it didn’t matter. How does the narration affect Oskar’s credibility in this excerpt? His insomnia renders him sleep deprived and confused. His efforts to soothe himself render him earnest and genuine. His obsessive straightening makes him seem unstable. His hopeless resignation makes him seem desperate.

The correct answer is B) his efforts to soothe himself rendered him earnest and genuine.

The narrator affects Oskar’s credibility in the excerpt in that his efforts to soothe himself rendered him earnest and genuine.

The passage is an excerpt of the novel “Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close”, written by Jonathan Safran Foer in 2005. In the story, the narrator is Oskar Shell, a 9-year-old boy. In the story, Oskar finds a key that belonged to his father that was killed in the terrible incidents of the September 11 terrorists attacks in the World Trade Center, in New York. So, regarding the excerpt, the narrator affects Oskar’s credibility in that his efforts to soothe himself rendered him earnest and genuine.

Your answer is: Know your family health history and use reliable resources to research any family.illnesses because this will help you understand risks and available treatments. By process of deduction, doctor’s appointments cannot perfectly ensure a lack of sickness, increasing sleep has studies that suggest it actually increases chances of weight gain, and performance-enhancing supplements are actually harmful if you don’t need them. Good Luck!

Which line best illustrates imagism? A. The pink sky sank into wet night. B. His mind remained clear but bereft of images. C. Yesterday lasted forever; tomorrow will never come. D. Those heroes of noble blood can sleep, but never can they rest.

The correct answer is
A. The pink sky sank into wet night

Imagism is about depicting vivid images usually by describing using vivid colors or things that are felt by senses. Presenting someone’s mind or concepts like yesterday and tomorrow is not imagism because it’s too abstract to imagine vividly. Same with the final sentence where it’s not very vivid.

It is an example of MISLEADING POST EVENT INFORMATION’S INFLUENCE ON MEMORY. The misinformation effect occurs when an individual’s recall of memories becomes less accurate because of post event information. The new information which the individual received after the event works backward to distort the memory of the original event.

Answer:

The answer is C. In order to carefully control conditions and confirm or disconfirm a hypothesis about the causes of behavior, one must perform an experiment.

Explanation:

Experimental research allows the researcher to control all the variables in order to create the conditions that can confirm or disconfirm a hypothesis. This method aimes to establish a relation of causality between two variables, which means that one variable is generated and determined by the other; this is posible because all of the other variables that can influence it have been controlled.

When a researcher conducts a survey or engages in naturalistic observation, he can’t control the variables, therefore, he can only establish a correlation between two variables, but not of causality.

Answer:    Joshua is correct

Explanation:  Animals, however well preserved and bred in conditions that are not in nature, that is, not in their natural habitat, animals still retain the animal instinct. Thus, young animals in the wild can be met daily, except for members of their species, and members of all other species, including predators, as well as humans. This means that in the natural environment, young animals can find themselves in a variety of dangers on a daily basis, but not only that. In this way young animals develop their ability to survive, escape from predators, manage, and develop their hunting skills, etc. All this is essential for socialization because according to all these developed skills and abilities their socialization depends. To deny any of the conditions prevailing in the wild means to deny the development of any skill or instinct, to deny proper socialization.

Many different types of writing exist in the world, ranging from classic Shakespearean plays to politicians’ speeches to the screenplay treatments that inspired this summer’s biggest blockbuster hits. These works may vary in tone, genre, and type, but as pieces of writing, they should have one thing in common: a purpose.

Authors write for many different reasons. Those reasons are called the author’s purpose. Depending on the purpose, authors may choose all different sorts of writing formats, genres and vernacular. A simple trick to summarize the three main categories of author’s purpose is to use the acronym PIE, which stands for persuading, inform and entertain. Although there are many reasons to write, to persuade, to inform and to entertain represent the three main forms of author’s purpose. Most other reasons can be grouped into those three broader categories.

HELP!!!!! how will your health most likely be affected if you follow the recommended guideline for sleep, rest, and physical activity? a. sleep deprivation will result b. there will be no effect c. obesity will result d. social relationships will improve

Lack of sleep can lead to many physical problems. Such as obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.  I’ve heard also, some people have actually died from lack of sleep. Sleep is needed for us to live, we aren’t 100% sure why.  From what I’ve read in the past, there is something called cerebrospinal fluid flows rapidly through your brain to remove harmful toxins.(Nerotoxin is what builds in your brain when you sleep, and getting too much of it It can also lead to death).  Now, getting more than enough sleep is also bad for you. Many of the same reasons why. Getting too much sleep is bad, and so is not getting enough.  It can also increase chances of cancer, depression, and also weight gain. I hope this helped, and kind of gave you an explaination! I’ve recently been reading about this, I was really interested to see your question.

Lise Marie J. de Baissac came from a French family. She was born in Mauritius and had British nationality. She was the superstar of the Special Operations Team at the time of WW-II. She was a dignified agent who, multiple times, risked her life in order to work in national spy operations. After the war seized, she was received numbers of gallantry prizes.

However, the reason after every option for its acceptance or nonacceptance as the answer is mentioned beneath each point. Anyhow, the correct answer is darkened.

A. “When she … lived there.”

This line only defines a specific detail about how the special agent survived through a fake name as a spy. No theme is described through this sentence.

B. “Baissac’s goal … resistance groups.”

This statement the agent’s motive and the way she enacted the task provided. Still, the complete idea is not expressed within the line.

C. “Baissac did … her tasks.”

The writer is praising the efforts of Baissac in this sentence. He again writes how much hard work the agent did in order to achieve the national goals.

D. “As a … German troops.”

This is the statement that definitely defines the central idea of the excerpt. When we break this line into sections, we can see that it illustrates that she performed multiple essential tasks when appointed in Normandy. The phrase “sometimes dangerous tasks” describes the critical nature of the job she handled in there. And, also the opposition (German troops) is clearly mentioned in this sentence which helps to convey the idea very clearly.
