Here are a few pointers; hope this is useful)

Ovation-by definition- is show of appreciation from an audience, for a person’s accomplishments or flaw.

“Everyone deserves a standing ovation because we all overcometh the world.”

A person’s accomplishment could be how they made a positive change in this world, strong leadership- that makes them a effective leader or simply helping others. A person’s flaw- mistakes in life, sin or even guilt should also be considered an appreciation- an ovation for representing mankind’s flaw and that humanity makes mistakes, fulfilling at least one deadly sin such as greed, lust, selfishness etc.

Thus, regardless of a person’s achievement or flaw- a person deserves an applause for, not the least, living in this society and this world that we are all living together and dying together.

That was just the introduction.. the best part is yet to come.. now it’s your turn!!

Here are other pointers to talk about in your essay:

Shakespeare’s famous line “All the World’s a stage. That agrees with your line: “Everybody deserves a standing ovation…”

Shakespeare explains that men and women are like players: they live, and die, some being celebrated and some forever living in solitude till their death. Shakespeare states the world is a “stage” which symbolizes that mankind is in its peak. The world is changing everyday: little by little and humanity is falling behind.
Due to our world turning into machinery: factories, an automotive future: where humans only job to live (entrance) and to die (exit) the famous humans remembered and the flawed not recalled.

This is according to Shakespeare’s imagery.

I don’t know what grade your in, but I think simplifying Shakespeare’s word of mouth in your essay would be handy and useful as it has strong references of your quote, and agrees strongly in your essay.

Hope this helps 🙂

Hey there!

Correct answer is D. Comma or Period Inside Rule

A. Question mark or exclamation point inside: those are not really necessary.

B. Colon or semicolon: not, a semicolon would divide the whole sentence and it would be shorten; a colon would work but after requested, when there is already a comma.

C. Question mark or Exclamation Point Outside Rule: would not work, becase it is an very polite and affirmative sentence.

D: A comma or period inside rule: actually, just a comma would work. Please, Cooper’s dad requested, go… Cooper’s dad requested must be in between commas as it is a vocative.

Hope this helps

Provide general guidelines, in your own words, for each law that can be applied to any triangle situation with which you are presented. To aid in your explanation, you may refer to specific problems from the text.Your response must include The law of cosines The law of sines The ambiguous case (law of sines) General guidelines in your own words that can be applied to any triangle. At least 100 words in complete sentences with appropriate grammar and spelling.

The basis to respond this question are:

1) Perpedicular lines form a 90° angle between them.

2) The product of the slopes of two any perpendicular lines is – 1.

So, from that basic knowledge you can analyze each option:

a.Lines s and t have slopes that are opposite reciprocals.

TRUE. Tha comes the number 2 basic condition for the perpendicular lines.

slope_1 * slope_2 = – 1 => slope_1 = – 1 / slope_2, which is what opposite reciprocals means.

b.Lines s and t have the same slope.

FALSE. We have already stated the the slopes are opposite reciprocals.

c.The product of the slopes of s and t is equal to -1

TRUE: that is one of the basic statements that you need to know and handle.

d.The lines have the same steepness.

FALSE: the slope is a measure of steepness, so they have different steepness.

e.The lines have different y intercepts.

FALSE: the y intercepts may be equal or different. For example y = x + 2 and y = -x + 2 are perpendicular and both have the same y intercept, 2.

f.The lines never intersect.

FALSE: perpendicular lines always intersept (in a 90° angle).

g.The intersection of s and t forms right angle.

TRUE: right angle = 90°.

h.If the slope of s is 6, the slope of t is -6

FALSE. – 6 is not the opposite reciprocal of 6. The opposite reciprocal of 6 is – 1/6.

So, the right choices are a, c and g.

What should be done before sending a business e-mail? A. checking spelling, having a colleague review it, and verifying recipients B. sending a test e-mail first C. calling the individual to check the e-mail address D. inserting an image to add impact

Answer:

Expression of subjective feelings

Contractions

The first-person point of view

Explanation:

Informal languages tend to be more personal than formal language by using first-person pronouns such as ‘I’ or ‘We’, is more casual and spontaneous, and may use colloquialisms, every-day vocabulary and contractions. Likewise, the words in this style tend to be short and the sentences tend to be in the active voice.

The excerpt has all these characteristics: It uses the first-person point of view (We miss you around the neighborhood), contractions (What’s new?, It’s been so long), colloquialisms (bro), and it expresses subjective feelings or thoughts (You should see my ridiculous helmet!) and an every-day and spontaneous vocabulary in general.

I guess this also depends on what the “Advanced Reading Skills” lessons talks about, but don’t think of it as “really hard”! Work on one word, one phrase, one sentence, and you’ll start making progress. =)

In general, when translating, the first thing you’ll have to do is to understand the paragraph, but you’re right, this isn’t that easy a paragraph to translate. You could use an English dictionary, or a bilingual dictionary (http://www.nciku.comis good for English-Chinese) to help you. While you’re doing this, try to pick out important words and translate them first, and see if you could understand what each sentence means.

Sometimes, words may have multiple meanings or be used as metaphors – for example, “amputated” means “having been cut off”, but in your 2nd sentence, it means that the poet should not be condemned and criticised to the point where he is treated as having no value.

Finally, after you’ve translated the text, don’t forget to read it to check if it makes sense in the language you’re using – and if it makes for smooth reading!

The statement “Role schema can affect the way people perceive themselves,” is true.

Role schemas refers to how the norms and expected behaviours of specific roles in society are structured. Role schemas cover both achieved roles – including occupational and professional roles, such as police or dentist – and ascribed roles; to put it simply, those roles over which we have little or not control,  including age, gender and race.

The roles and expectations related to these categories are well known as stereotypes.

Answer :

The phases of writing strategy (from beginning to end) along with their description are as follows :

1. Prewriting – Deciding on the essay topic; researching and organizing information.

This phase of the writing process mainly involves brainstorming to collect ideas and opinions.

2. Drafting – Writing the draft of the essay.

This phase of the writing process involves outlining the major ideas and creating a rough draft. The ideas are organized of the basis of what you want to say in the essay and why.

3. Revising – Reading the essay to check the flow; polishing or rewriting, if required.

This phase of the writing process helps to polish the essay and maintain a proper flow to it. Any additions and deletions can be made wherever required.

4. Editing – Proofreading for surface errors in grammar, spelling, capitalization, and formatting.

This is the final phase of the writing strategy that aids in correction of grammar, spelling and punctuation errors. The essay is then formatted to suit the requirements.

What tool can you use to check your writing for proper spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitalization?

[ad_1]

D) the tone of the piece, and e) the perspective or point of view. Be sure that your paragraph has a topic sentence that identifies the subject, and provide evidence (quotes) from the excerpt to support each part of the analysis.
“Then I started back, with more fear than food, and went to meet the people whom I had left behind, with the greatest haste I could make. I overtook them after two day’s march and went with them till we had passed the desert and arrived at their home. Here I was not made welcome as previously, because the men as well as the women indulged in much weeping for the persons killed at Cíbola. Without tarrying I hastened in fear from that people and that valley. The first day I went ten leagues, then I went eight and again ten leagues, without stopping till I had passed the second desert. On my return, although I was not without fear, I determined to approach the open tract, situated at the end of the mountain ranges, of which I said above that I had some account. As I came near, I was informed that it is peopled for many days’ journey towards the east, but I dared not enter it, because it seemed to me that we must go to colonize and to rule that other country of the seven cities and the kingdoms I have spoken of, and that then one could see it better. So I forebore to risk my person and left it alone to given an account of what I had seen. However, I saw, from the mouth of the tract seven moderate-sized towns at some distance, and further a very fresh valley of very good land, whence rose much smoke. I was informed that there is much gold in it and that the natives of it deal in vessels and jewels for the ears and little plates with which they scrape themselves to relieve themselves of sweat, and that these people will not consent to trade with those of the other part of the valley; but I was not able to learn the cause for this. Here I placed two crosses and took possession of all this plain and valley in the same manner as I had done with the other possessions, according to my instructions.”
