[ad_1]

The two friends in unhealthy relationships are Jack and Jessica.

Jack’s partner is selfish and only thinks about their own needs, they are verbally abusive and pushes him even jokingly. Jessica’s partner makes fun of her tastes, restricts her from seeing friends and says horrid things to her. None of these actions are signs of a healthy relationship.

PLEASE HELP Mr. Utterson the lawyer was a man of a rugged countenance, that was never lighted by a smile; cold, scanty and embarrassed in discourse; backward in sentiment; lean, long, dusty, dreary, and yet somehow lovable. At friendly meetings, and when the wine was to his taste, something eminently human beaconed from his eye; something indeed which never found its way into his talk, but which spoke not only in these silent symbols of the after-dinner face, but more often and loudly in the acts of his life. He was austere with himself; drank gin when he was alone, to mortify a taste for vintages; and though he enjoyed the theatre, had not crossed the doors of one for twenty years. But he had an approved tolerance for others; sometimes wondering, almost with envy, at the high pressure of spirits involved in their misdeeds; and in any extremity inclined to help rather than to reprove. "I incline to, Cain's heresy*," he used to say. "I let my brother go to the devil in his quaintly 'own way.'" In this character, it was frequently his fortune to be the last reputable acquaintance and the last good influence in the lives of down-going men. And to such as these, so long as they came about his chambers, he never marked a shade of change in his demeanour. No doubt the feat was easy to Mr. Utterson; for he was undemonstrative at the best, and even his friendship seemed to be founded in a similar catholicity of good-nature. It is the mark of a modest man to accept his friendly circle ready-made from the hands of opportunity; and that was the lawyer's way. His friends were those of his own blood or those whom he had known the longest; his affections, like ivy, were the growth of time, they implied no aptness in the object. Hence, no doubt, the bond that united him to Mr. Richard Enfield, his distant kinsman, the well-known man about town. It was a nut to crack for many, what these two could see in each other, or what subject they could find in common. It was reported by those who encountered them in their Sunday walks, that they said nothing, looked singularly dull, and would hail with obvious relief the appearance of a friend. For all that, the two men put the greatest store by these excursions, counted them the chief jewel of each week, and not only set aside occasions of pleasure, but even resisted the calls of business, that they might enjoy them uninterrupted. *The biblical story of Cain and Abel is a story about two brothers who gave offerings to God. Abel’s offering was accepted by God, but Cain’s was not. Jealous, Cain killed his brother. When God asked Cain where Abel was, Cain said, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” By saying this, Cain implied that what his brother did was his own business. (Genesis 4:1-16) What is significant about “Cain’s heresy” in this passage? A.It shows that Mr. Utterson is a deeply religious and righteous person. B.It shows that Mr. Utterson tries not to judge others or get in their business. C.It shows the Mr. Utterson wants to steal from other people’s businesses. D.It shows that Mr. Utterson does not believe in any kind of religion at all.

The Contribution Margin per unit (CM) can be calculated
from the difference of Selling Price per unit (SP) and Total Expenses per unit
(TE).

First, let’s calculate the value of SP:

SP = Sales / Units sold

SP = $1,043,400 / 22,200 units sold

SP = $47

Second, calculate all expenses:

Direct materials per unit = $234,948 / 27,970 units
manufactured = $8.4

Direct labor per unit = $131,459 / 27,970 units
manufactured = $4.7

Variable manufacturing overhead per unit = $240,542 / 27,970
units manufactured = $8.6

Variable selling expenses per unit = $113,220 / 22,200
units sold = $5.1

TE = $26.8

Therefore the CM is:

CM = SP – TE

CM = $47 – $26.8

CM = $20.2 per unit

1. The answer is “C”.

“Identical twins” who have been raised apart are typically more similar in intelligence level than biological siblings raised together because they have been born with the same genetic code.

Identical twins originate from a single fertilized egg that parts into two. Before it parts, it is either male or female. After it parts, there are either two guys or two females. The two sections of the fertilized egg embed in the uterus and every create one of the twins.

Identical twins have the equivalent hereditary source. No immediate reason for monozygotic twinning has been resolved; it isn’t innate. Monozygotic twins speak to around 33% all things considered. They may look strikingly comparative, and it might be hard to reveal to them separated.

2. The answer is “A”.

Lawrence Kohlberg felt that one of the only ways individuals will accomplish the objectives in each of his six stages was to participate in “consensus democracy” in small group settings.

Lawrence Kohlberg felt that the best way to support development through these stages was by discourse of good problems and by investment in consensus democracy inside small groups. Consensus democracy was rule by understanding of the gathering, not larger part rule. This would invigorate and widen the reasoning of youngsters and grown-ups, enabling them to advance starting with one phase then onto the next.

3. The answer is “D.  showing a learner how to correct common mistakes”.

The term scaffolding alludes to a procedure in which instructors display or exhibit how to take care of an issue, and afterward venture back, offering support as required. Analyst and instructional architect Jerome Bruner first utilized the term ‘scaffolding’ in this setting, harking back to the 1960s. The hypothesis is that when understudies are given the help they require while discovering some new information, they stand a superior possibility of utilizing that learning freely. Bruner suggests positive association and three methods of portrayal amid educating: activities, pictures, and dialect.

To feel the sea breeze in my hair,
To stroke my parrot on the wood chair,
To be bold and brave and happy as can be,
To trek and travel and sail the seven seas.

Areas near oceans or large lakes tend to have more moderate climates than do areas far from large bodies of water. Which of these statements best explains this observation? Hydrogen and oxygen atoms share electrons in a water molecule. Lakes and oceans contain dissolved solids. Water has a very high specific heat. Water produces buoyant forces. Question 2(Multiple Choice Worth 2 points) A scientist discovers a new substance. The molecules of the substance form hydrogen bonds with each other. When the molecules lose a lot of energy, the hydrogen bonds hold them relatively far apart. Based on this information, what can the scientist infer about the substance? It expands when it freezes. It is highly colored. It exists only as a gas. It does not dissolve ionic compounds. Question 3(Multiple Choice Worth 2 points) Which of the following properties of water is due primarily to the uneven distribution of charge between the hydrogen and oxygen atoms? its color its taste its ability to dissolve ionic substances its ability to produce buoyant forces Question 4(Multiple Choice Worth 2 points) A drop of water placed on a smooth, dry surface will form a dome-shaped droplet instead of flowing outward in different directions. Which of these best explains this observation? The bonds between hydrogen and oxygen atoms are very strong. The electrons in the atoms attract the electrons in the other atoms. Water molecules at the surface experience fewer hydrogen bonds than water molecules within the liquid. Water molecules near the surface produce more buoyant force than water molecules within the liquid.

The gravitational force Fg between two objects is given by the equation:

Fg=(G*m₁*m₂)/r₂, where G=6.67*10^-11 m³ kg⁻¹ s⁻² is the gravitational constant, m₁ and m₂ are the masses of the two bodies and r is the distance between those bodies.

Due to the gravitational attraction the pencil and the eraser will attract if we there is no friction on the surface.

m₁=10 g=0.01 kg is the mass of the pencil
m₂=20 g=0.02 kg is the mass of the eraser
r=2.5 cm = 0.025 m

First we calculate the Fg:

Fg={(6.67*10^-11)*0.01*0.02}/(0.025²)=2.1344*10^-11 N

To get the velocity v of the pencil:

v²=2as, where a is the acceleration of the pencil and s is the path. In our case s=r so we can write:

v²=2ar

a=Fg/m₁= 2.133*10^-9 m/s²

v²=2*(2.133*10^-9)*0.025=1.0665*10^-10

v=√(1.0665*10^-10)=1.0327*10^-5 m/s

We have the velocity and the acceleration, so we can calculate the time t with the equation:

t=v/a=(1.0327*10^-5)/(2.133*10^-9)=4841.6 s

1 hour has 3600 s so when we divide time t in seconds by 3600 we get time T in hours:

T=t/3600=4841.6/3600=1.3449 h.

So the time for the pencil and eraser to touch is T=1.3449 hours.

Also time T can be expressed like T= 1h and 20 mins and 41.64 s

HELP ME PLEASE !!! Which is the best example of a strong conclusion in a presentation? Studies have shown that bottled water is not any safer than tap water in most communities. The FDA requires technicians to test all tap water before it is distributed. Another argument against bottled water is the waste that is produced in making and disposing of the plastic bottles. Distributing cases of water creates pollution and traffic. Drinking tap water instead of bottled water is a simple thing. It is inexpensive, saves the environment, and tastes great. Why buy bottles? Fill your glass at the tap and enjoy! Do you think you can taste the difference between expensive bottled water and the water that comes from your tap? We took a poll of students here in our school. Here are the results.

Answer:

false

Explanation:

From 1927, the Soviet Union introduced the concept of collective farms. The purpose of collectivization was to make individual lands and labor pass to collective farms, called kolkhozes. The workers received no wages but received part of what they produced on the farm, just to cover their needs and those of their families. Soviet leaders hoped that collectivization would significantly increase the food supply for the urban population, meaning that at that time it was believed that collective farms were the most efficient way to produce food.

This was not the case, however, and collective farms proved to be a major problem.

Collectivization created a profound trauma for the Russian peasantry. The forced confiscation of meat and bread led to riots. There were even peasants who chose to sacrifice their cattle rather than hand them over to collective farms. Sometimes the Soviet government used the army to suppress the revolts.

The ancient traditions of the Russian peasantry were eventually destroyed in the process. The peasants, who used to be interested in the fruits of their work, were losing interest in the kolkhozes. The early years of collectivization proved catastrophic. In 1932 and 1933 there was a great famine in the country that claimed the lives of eight million people, largely due to collectivization.

Answer

Option C= an acid

Explanation

CaCO₃ is a very wide spread compound, and is found in chalk, lime, marble etc. This substance plays a very important role for human beings, as calcium carbonate is also widely used in the food industry, as a natural white colorant. CaCO₃ is also used for the manufacture of paper and plastic, in construction, and in many other spheres.

Calcium carbonate is a white substance (solid crystals) in powder or solid form, which is capable of reacting with water, but does not completely dissolve in it. But When any acid is reacted with calcium carbonate, the salt of the anionic part of the acid with calcium is formed. And H2CO3 is formed which may later break down to H2O+CO2, hence net reaction will be,

Chemical equation

2HCl + CaCO3 → CaCl2 + H2CO3

H2CO3 → H2O (l) + CO2 (g)

When calcium carbonate reacts with sulfuric acid, it forms water, carbon dioxide and calcium sulfate.

1. CaCO3 (s) + H2SO4 (l) → H2CO3 (aq) + CaSO4 (s)

2. H2CO3 (aq) → H2O (l) + CO2 (g)

So…

CaCO3 (s) + H2SO4 (l) → H2O (l) + CO2 (g) + CaSO4 (s)

To be able to analyze the elements used by William Carlos William´s in his poem: “The Red Wheelbarrow”, we must first understand these two literary and poetic movements that affected the way that literature was written from the end of the 19th century to the 20th century.

First, modernism is a literary movement that originates at the end of the 19th century and influences most of the 20th century, especially writers from Europe and North America. In essence, modernism was born from the philosophical principles and ideals set forth by such thinkers as Sigmund Freud and Ernst Mach and it believes that literature needed to break off from the traditions and ideals that had been present in the past. Particularly, they were very much influenced by the aftereffects of World War I and believed in going into a simpler form of writing, more concise and direct and less filled with prose and abstract ideas. On the other hand lies Imagism, an Anglo-American 20th century movement that affected poetry mostly and helped to jumpstart modernism in literature. In essence, Imagism believed in the need to break off from certain poetic traditions that had been set during the Romantic and Victorian eras, they proposed a much simpler use of verse forms, instituting the free verse style, and believed in the need for the use of more direct and simpler images and an economy of language. Finally, they believed in the observation and importance of underlining the characteristics and essence of a single object  through the simplification of the elements that make part of said object. One example, in another form of art, would be Cubism. One of the most important representatives of this movement, precisely, was William Carlos Williams.

In the poem, The Red Wheelbarrow, you can see these elements proposed by both the modernists and imagists. It is a really short poem, each stanza with only two lines, with a single object being identified and mentioned; the wheelbarrow. All focus is on this particular element and all defining objects around it only serve to underline the characteristics that make it up. There is also the use of very simple language, very simple imagery and a freestyle that makes its reading lead you to think of only one thing: the wheelbarrow.
