Because of our sense of belonging and loyalty to in-groups, we often tend to judge our own group’s traits as virtues, but see the same traits in other groups as vices. this judgment of superiority is an example of ________.

[ad_1]

Answered by answersmine AT 22/10/2019 – 04:35 AM

It is an example of double standard. This judgment superiority is unjust because it is usually applied to different people or other group of people with how they act or behave towards other people and in the society. It could be seen above as because of this standard, it makes a person view other people differently because he or she does not belong to that particular group.

In tropical rain forest, the animals will have to deal with higher temperatures and greater rainfall. One example of an adaptation they might need is a thin, water-proof coat. This will prevent heat from becoming trapped inside their fur/hair/feathers, and the water-absorbing coating will allow water to stick to the inside of the coat without being absorbed, where the water will absorb the heat instead of themselves, and will cool the through evaporative cooling (heat release through evaporation)

In a deciduous forest, there is much colder temperatures, and significantly less rainfall. These animals would likely want a thicker water-proof coat. This is because the thicker coat would allow heat to become trapped, keeping them warm in the winter, and the water-proof coating prevents water from freezing in their fur, making them colder.

Most people who divorce tend to remarry other divorced people. the women who are more likely to remarry are ________.

[ad_1]

Answer:    Joshua is correct

Explanation:  Animals, however well preserved and bred in conditions that are not in nature, that is, not in their natural habitat, animals still retain the animal instinct. Thus, young animals in the wild can be met daily, except for members of their species, and members of all other species, including predators, as well as humans. This means that in the natural environment, young animals can find themselves in a variety of dangers on a daily basis, but not only that. In this way young animals develop their ability to survive, escape from predators, manage, and develop their hunting skills, etc. All this is essential for socialization because according to all these developed skills and abilities their socialization depends. To deny any of the conditions prevailing in the wild means to deny the development of any skill or instinct, to deny proper socialization.

Mark the entries in the table that are even. Those values are: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12
There are 1+3+5+5+3+1 = 18 cases where this happens

Now mark the entries that are 5 or 10. There are multiples of 5. There are 4+3 = 7 cases of either 5 or 10.

If we add up 18 and 7, we get 18+7 = 25. Now subtract out the cases where we get both an even number AND a multiple of 5. So the three tens are counted twice. We go from 25 to 25-3 = 22

Divide this value (22) over the total number of outcomes (6*6 = 36). Doing this gets us
22/36 = 11/18

The answer is choice A

Poland Hungary Bulgaria

In the aftermath of World War II, the influence of the Soviet Union extended through the countries that were invaded by fascists in the Eastern Front, such as Poland, Hungary, and Bulgaria.

Poland

In January 1947, elections were held, resulting in the communist Republic of Poland. Previously elections were intervened so the communist candidates could turn victorious, and the members of communist resistance continued to resist in the territories near to Ucrain but fierce soviets intervention turned to mass arrest where all kinds of executions, deportations, and imprisonment took place.

Hungary

In Hungary, the Soviets imposed harsh conditions that seized key raw materials and interfered in the internal affairs and social, policymaking. The Red army set some vigilance with police to persecute political opponents and enemies of the state.

Bulgaria

In September 1944, The Soviets declared war on Bulgary, under the argument that this country allowed its territory where the Wehrmacht (Germany) crossed and continued to press the frontlines eastwards. The Red Army motivated a coup d Etat where communists also set favorable conditions for the creation of a communist regime.

-This countries became to form the Eastern bloc, a period that lasted several decades until the 1989 Revolutions set an important amount of political and social changes in Europe in East and Central Europe, causing most of the socialist states, formerly puppet states to Soviet Russia to collapse and engage in democratic process and incorporate a different economic model.

Areas near oceans or large lakes tend to have more moderate climates than do areas far from large bodies of water. Which of these statements best explains this observation? Hydrogen and oxygen atoms share electrons in a water molecule. Lakes and oceans contain dissolved solids. Water has a very high specific heat. Water produces buoyant forces. Question 2(Multiple Choice Worth 2 points) A scientist discovers a new substance. The molecules of the substance form hydrogen bonds with each other. When the molecules lose a lot of energy, the hydrogen bonds hold them relatively far apart. Based on this information, what can the scientist infer about the substance? It expands when it freezes. It is highly colored. It exists only as a gas. It does not dissolve ionic compounds. Question 3(Multiple Choice Worth 2 points) Which of the following properties of water is due primarily to the uneven distribution of charge between the hydrogen and oxygen atoms? its color its taste its ability to dissolve ionic substances its ability to produce buoyant forces Question 4(Multiple Choice Worth 2 points) A drop of water placed on a smooth, dry surface will form a dome-shaped droplet instead of flowing outward in different directions. Which of these best explains this observation? The bonds between hydrogen and oxygen atoms are very strong. The electrons in the atoms attract the electrons in the other atoms. Water molecules at the surface experience fewer hydrogen bonds than water molecules within the liquid. Water molecules near the surface produce more buoyant force than water molecules within the liquid.

The gravitational force Fg between two objects is given by the equation:

Fg=(G*m₁*m₂)/r₂, where G=6.67*10^-11 m³ kg⁻¹ s⁻² is the gravitational constant, m₁ and m₂ are the masses of the two bodies and r is the distance between those bodies.

Due to the gravitational attraction the pencil and the eraser will attract if we there is no friction on the surface.

m₁=10 g=0.01 kg is the mass of the pencil
m₂=20 g=0.02 kg is the mass of the eraser
r=2.5 cm = 0.025 m

First we calculate the Fg:

Fg={(6.67*10^-11)*0.01*0.02}/(0.025²)=2.1344*10^-11 N

To get the velocity v of the pencil:

v²=2as, where a is the acceleration of the pencil and s is the path. In our case s=r so we can write:

v²=2ar

a=Fg/m₁= 2.133*10^-9 m/s²

v²=2*(2.133*10^-9)*0.025=1.0665*10^-10

v=√(1.0665*10^-10)=1.0327*10^-5 m/s

We have the velocity and the acceleration, so we can calculate the time t with the equation:

t=v/a=(1.0327*10^-5)/(2.133*10^-9)=4841.6 s

1 hour has 3600 s so when we divide time t in seconds by 3600 we get time T in hours:

T=t/3600=4841.6/3600=1.3449 h.

So the time for the pencil and eraser to touch is T=1.3449 hours.

Also time T can be expressed like T= 1h and 20 mins and 41.64 s

There are two systems in the human body that are responsible for the coordination between the functions of different systems to achieve the unity of the living organism’s body. These two systems are the nervous system and the endocrine system. The action of the nervous system is fast and takes a short time, while the action of the endocrine system is slow and takes a long time.

The functional unit of the nervous system is the nerve cell or the neuron. The neuron consists of a cell body and the axon. The cell body starts with the dendrites that receive the messages or the impulses from other neurons or from different sense organs or receptors. These impulses are then transmitted through the cell body. The cell body contains a nucleus and different organelles which help the nerve cell to perform its functions. The nerve impulse is then transmitted to the axon.

The axon is an extension from the cell body. There are some cells called Schwan cells that secrete a myelin sheath to insulate the axon from the surrounding medium. The insulated axons have more ability to conduct the impulses than non-insulated axons. The axon ends with the terminal arborizations. The terminal arborizations of a nerve cell connect to the dendrites of the next cell or to the afferent organ. The gaps between the dendrites and the terminal arborizations are called the synapses.

The nerve impulse is an electrochemical phenomenon i.e. an electrical phenomenon with a chemical nature. The membrane of the axon acts as a barrier between an outside positively charged medium and an inside negatively charged medium. This makes a potential difference of  -70mV. This state is called the resting potential. When the membrane is subjected to a stimulus, the positive charges enter to inside and the negative charges exit to the outside. The potential difference now becomes +40mV. This state is called the depolarization state. The point of stimulation acts as a new stimulus for the next point and so on. The membrane sooner gains its permeability again and the positive charges return to the outside and the negative charges to inside. This state is called repolarization.

The nerve impulse reaches the synapse. There are some neurotransmitters that are excited by the nerve impulse coming and carry the message across the membrane. Some receptors receive theses neurotransmitters on the dendrites of the next neuron. These receptors act as a stimulus for the new cell.

How many electron transport chains are there in photosynthesis?

There are two electron transfer chains in photosynthesis. Both the two chains (Photosytem I and Photosystem II) are utilized to split water to get electrons. Electron transport helps establish a proton gradient that powers ATP production and also stores energy in reduced coenzyme NADPH. This energy is used to power the Calvin Cycle to produce sugar and other carbohydrates.

Hey there!

In order to solve for the percentage of water in the compound, you will first need to find its total molar mass. You can do this by adding up the molar masses of each individual element in the compound. Then, you will divide the mass that you find of the water molecules by the total mass to get the percentage.

→ Na₂CO₃ × 10 HO

→ Na₂ = 22.9898 × 2 = 45.9796
→ C = 12.0107
→ O₃ = 15.999 × 3 = 47.997
→ 10 H₂O = 18.015 × 10 = 180.15

Now, just add all of those numbers up for the total molar mass.

→ 45.9796 + 12.0107 + 47.997 + 180.15 = 286.1373

The last step is to divide the molar mass of the 10 water molecules by the total mass.

→ 180.15 ÷ 286.1373 = 0.62959 ≈ 0.63

Your answer will be about 63%.

Hope this helped you out! 🙂

I’m not 100% sure, but I think that the answer is: Complex Phrasing and Technical Terms. Considering the fact that Danica is speaking to people who are familiar with her topic, which would mean that Simple Words could be lost on her audience, who do not need to be treated as if they do not understand the topic, Simple Words would not be enough to appeal to them. Short Sentences may not be enough to get her point across about the topic, so going into detail may be best. As far as Slang, I believe that the audience would best benefit from the speech if Slang was not used, instead, Complex Phrasing may be best. That is why I believe that the answer is Complex Phrasing and Simple Words. (Hope my answer isn’t too long! I wanted to be short, but felt the need to explain my answer so you can see why I believe it is correct, because I did state that I’m not 100% certain it is correct… So I decided to show my train of thought. 1- The American author who was most directly inspired by the ideals of Transcendentalism was Henry David Thoreau.

Thoreau was a philosopher of nature and its relation to the human condition. In his early years he followed Transcendentalism, a loose and eclectic idealist philosophy that argued that an ideal spiritual state transcends, or goes beyond the physical and the empirical, and that intuition is achieved through personal intuition rather than religious doctrine. In its opinion, nature is the outward sign of the inner spirit, expressing the “radical correspondence of visible things and human thoughts.”

2- Transcendentalism central value was the human connection with nature.

For the transcendentalists, the soul of each individual is identical to the soul of the world and contains what the world contains.Transcendentalists worked with the feeling that the advent of a new era was within reach. They were critical of their contemporary society for their unreflective conformity, and urged each individual to seek “an original relationship with the universe.”

3- During the mid-19th century, Transcendentalist writers had a strong influence over the formation of  utopian communities.

4- The Transcendentalist writing that most directly influenced African American activists in the 1950s and 1960s was “Two Rivers”.

5- Transcendentalism was centered on writers and thinkers from New England.

The vast majority of transcendentalist writers and thinkers came from the State of Massachusetts, and had been educated at Harvard University.
