Which tab in the Format Picture window has options to crop an image?

[ad_1]

Answered by answersmine AT 22/10/2019 – 02:42 AM

Depending on the word application you use (e.g. Microsoft Word 2016), it’s on the Picture Tab. If you click on the Format window, a  new set of options will appear on the ribbon. Beside the picture styles option, there is the size option where you could adjust the size of your image pasted in the word document. If you wish to crop the picture, there is the crop thumbnail in the size option. You could crop the picture free-form or by dimension.

Read the poem below and answer the question that follows. “Blazon” by Cecilia Woloch —after Breton My love with his hair of nightingales With his chest of pigeon flutter, of gray doves preening themselves at dawn With his shoulders of tender balconies half in shadow, half in sun My love with his long-boned thighs the map of Paris of my tongue With his ink-stained tongue, his tongue the tip of a steeple plunged into milky sky My love with his wishing teeth With his fingers of nervous whispering, his fingers of a boy whose toys were cheap and broken easily My love with his silent thumbs With his eyes of a window smudged of a train that passes in the night With his nape of an empty rain coat hung by the collar, sweetly bowed My love with his laughter of an empty stairwell, rain all afternoon With his mouth the deepest flower to which I have ever put my mouth Source: Woloch, Cecilia. “Blazon.” Blogalicious. Diane Lockward, 17 Jan. 2010. Web. 17 May 2011. How does this poem represent a modern version of the blazon? A. The poet selects less expected features and comparisons. B. Read the following excerpt from Leslie Marmon Silko’s story “The Man to Send Rain Clouds.” They turned off the highway onto the sandy pueblo road. Not long after they passed the store and post office they saw Father Paul’s car coming toward them. When he recognized their faces he slowed his car and waved for them to stop. The young priest rolled down the car window. “Did you find old Teofilo?” he asked loudly. Leon stopped the truck. “Good morning, Father. We were just out to the sheep camp. Everything is O.K. now.” “Thank God for that. Teofilo is a very old man. You really shouldn’t allow him to stay at the sheep camp alone.” “No, he won’t do that any more now.” What does this dialogue reveal about the priest’s standing within the community? He is a trusted leader of the tribe. He is considered to be an outsider. He is a spiritual guide to the people. He is disliked by most of the people.

[ad_1]

Answer: The right answer is the B: He is considered to be an outsider.

Explanation: Leon and his brother-in-law, Ken, had found Teofilo’s corpse under a tree. However, when Father Paul, a Franciscan priest, asked them if they had found him, Leon did not mention that Teofilo had died. He did not openly lie to the priest, but he avoided mentioning Teofilo’s death to him. This shows that Father Paul was not considered part of the tribe, but an outsider that was trying to “impose” his faith and his religious practices on a community that already had its own.

Read this excerpt from Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Masque of the Red Death” and answer the question that follows. Here the case was very different, as might have been expected from the duke’s love of the bizarre. The apartments were so irregularly disposed that the vision embraced but little more than one at a time. There was a sharp turn at every twenty or thirty yards, and at each turn a novel effect. To the right and left, in the middle of each wall, a tall and narrow Gothic window looked out upon a closed corridor which pursued the windings of the suite. These windows were of stained glass whose colour varied in accordance with the prevailing hue of the decorations of the chamber into which it opened. That at the eastern extremity was hung, for example in blue—and vividly blue were its windows. The second chamber was purple in its ornaments and tapestries, and here the panes were purple. The third was green throughout, and so were the casements. The fourth was furnished and lighted with orange—the fifth with white—the sixth with violet. The seventh apartment was closely shrouded in black velvet tapestries that hung all over the ceiling and down the walls, falling in heavy folds upon a carpet of the same material and hue. . . .And thus were produced a multitude of gaudy and fantastic appearances. What kind of writing does the excerpt represent?

The answer should be D. Argumentative! It makes an argument that also persuades you in a different way but only of the sense that this time it is knocking what argument you made down. Have a good rest of your day!

Height of window 0.6 feet less than 2.5 times it width height of window 4.9 feet

[ad_1]

Suggest you use some punctuation here:  “The height of window is 0.6 feet less than 2.5 times it width.  The height of window  is 4.9 feet.  Find the width of the window.”

height of window = 4.9 feet = 2.5(width) – 0.6 feet.

simplify this equation by adding 0.6 feet to both sides of the equation:

4.9 feet + 0.6 feet = 2.5 (width); find width:

5.5 feet = 2.5 (width)

Dividing both sides of this equation by 2.5 will result in an equation for the width of the window, in feet.

Read this stanza from "The Raven." Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning, Soon again I heard a tapping something louder than before. "Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice; Let me see, then, what thereat is and this mystery explore– Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore;– 'Tis the wind and nothing more." This stanza contributes to the suspense of the poem because a) the reader knows what is making the noise while the speaker does not. b) the speaker and the reader wait again to find out what is making the noise. c) the tapping gets louder, which foreshadows that the noise is made by a bird. d) the wind gets stronger and makes more noise against the speaker’s window.

Which lines in this excerpt from act I of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet reveal that Romeo was avoiding Benvolio? BENVOLIO: Madam, an hour before the worshipped sun Peered forth the golden window of the east, A troubled mind drove me to walk abroad, Where, underneath the grove of sycamore That westward rooteth from this city side, So early walking did I see your son. Towards him I made, but he was ‘ware of me And stole into the covert of the wood. I, measuring his affections by my own, Which then most sought where most might not be found, Being one too many by my weary self, Pursued my humor not pursuing his, And gladly shunned who gladly fled from me.

Answer:  The correct option is (C). 10 = square root of the quantity of x minus 8 all squared plus y minus 9 all squared

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that the segment AB has point A located at (8, 9). The distance from A to B is 10 units.

We are to select the correct option that could be used to calculate the coordinates for point B.

Let, (x, y) be the co-ordinates of point B.

According to distance formula, the distance between two points (a, b) and (c, d) is given by

d=sqrt{(c-a)^2+(d-b)^2}.

Therefore, the distance between the points A(8, 9) and B(x, y) is given by

d=sqrt{(x-8)^2+(y-9)^2}.

Since, distance between A and B is 10 units, so

d = 10.

Therefore,

10=sqrt{(x-8)^2+(y-9)^2}.

Thus, the correct statement is

10 = square root of the quantity of x minus 8 all squared plus y minus 9 all squared.

Option (C) is correct.

There are primarily three subatomic particles in an atom;
Protons
Electrons
Neutrons
—————-
Protons are positively charged subatomic particles in an atom. These particles give an element it’s identity, based on it’s ‘Atomic Number’, or how many protons are contained in the atom.

Electrons are negatively charged subatomic particles in an atom. These particles give an element it’s reactivity, and are a major part in finding where an element lies on the Periodic Table by valence electrons. We can discuss more of this in PM if you’d like to know more about this. Electrons are also a major part of finding an element’s ‘atomic mass’, or how many neutrons it has.

Neutrons are subatomic particles in an atom that have a neutral or ‘no’ charge. These are inside of the nucleus of an atom, as opposed to protons and electrons, which are farther outward of the center of an atom.

To answer your question, and reading from the text above, ‘Neutrons’ is your answer.

I hope this helps!

So hmmm we’ll start off by using the decimal format for the percentage, thus 15% is just 15/100 or 0.15 and 7% is just 7/100 or 0.07 and so on

notice, the concentration of alcohol in the 15% is, well, 0.15 :), so for a quantity of whatever, it’d be 0.15whatever

anyway, for water… water has no alcohol whatsoever, so the concentration is 0%, or 0/100 which is 0.00 or a flat 0

bf begin{array}{lccclll}
&amount&concentration&
begin{array}{llll}
concentrated\

water&x&0.00&0x\
-----&-----&-------&-------\
textit{7% mixture}&y&0.07&0.07y
end{array}

we know that we’ll be adding “x” water with the 14mL to get “y”, thus 14+x = y

and the concentrated quantities will also add up to -> 14(0.15) = 2.1, thus
2.1 + 0x = 0.07y

bf begin{cases}
14+x=boxed{y}\
2.1+0x=0.07y\
----------\
2.1=0.07left( boxed{14+x} right)
end{cases}

solve for “x”.

Group Policy, change the setting “Turn off the upgrade to the latest version of Windows through Windows Update,” which can be found in Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update.

Doing so sets the registry value described in the rest of this step. Note that for Home versions of Windows 7 and 8.1, where the Group Policy editor is not available, editing the registry is the only option.

To make this change with Regedit, navigate to the following key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsWindowsUpdate

Important: If that key doesn’t exist, you’ll need to create it.

Create a DWORD value called DisableOSUpgrade and set it to 1. (If that sentence makes no sense, you probably shouldn’t be using Regedit.)

The Contribution Margin per unit (CM) can be calculated
from the difference of Selling Price per unit (SP) and Total Expenses per unit
(TE).

First, let’s calculate the value of SP:

SP = Sales / Units sold

SP = $1,043,400 / 22,200 units sold

SP = $47

Second, calculate all expenses:

Direct materials per unit = $234,948 / 27,970 units
manufactured = $8.4

Direct labor per unit = $131,459 / 27,970 units
manufactured = $4.7

Variable manufacturing overhead per unit = $240,542 / 27,970
units manufactured = $8.6

Variable selling expenses per unit = $113,220 / 22,200
units sold = $5.1

TE = $26.8

Therefore the CM is:

CM = SP – TE

CM = $47 – $26.8

CM = $20.2 per unit

You need to determine the number of ways in which 30 competitors from 50 can qualify. First, you have to realize that the order is irrelevant, that is: it is the same competitor_1, competitor _2, competitor _3 than competitor_3, competitor_2, competitor_1, or any combination of those three competitors.

So, the number of ways is which 30 competitors from 50 can qualify is given by the formula of combinations, which is:

C (m,n) = m! / (n! * (m -n)! )

=> C (50,30) = 50! / (30! (50 – 30)! ) = (50!) / [30! (50 – 30)!] = 50! / [30! 20!] =

How many electron transport chains are there in photosynthesis?

There are two electron transfer chains in photosynthesis. Both the two chains (Photosytem I and Photosystem II) are utilized to split water to get electrons. Electron transport helps establish a proton gradient that powers ATP production and also stores energy in reduced coenzyme NADPH. This energy is used to power the Calvin Cycle to produce sugar and other carbohydrates.
